  • Ensure active participation in premier industry events (e.g., GDC, Unite, devcom, Nordic Game, Microsoft Build) and targeted developer gatherings.
  • Lead the creation and promotion of high-quality technical content—documentation, tutorials, articles, videos, podcasts—covering both custom and self-service integration scenarios.
  • Drive lighthouse integration cases that set the industry benchmark for game commerce excellence.
  • Oversee and manage a global team comprised of Development Experience Directors, Developer Evangelists, Community & Integrations leaders, and Developer Marketing leaders. Key responsibilities include driving the development and quality of Lighthouse integrations, ensuring broad reach and high engagement with produced materials, maintaining strong satisfaction ratings, and converting developer engagement into successful integrations.
  • Oversee regional strategies for Western, APAC, and Russia/CIS markets, ensuring local presence in the largest and most active game dev ecosystems.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop top talent across all regions to scale developer engagement effectively.
  • Define and track KPIs: Number and quality of Lighthouse integrations. Reach, volume, and satisfaction ratings of produced materials. Conversions from developer engagement into integrations.
  • Regularly review community feedback, adoption metrics, and engagement results to drive continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Proven experience (7+ years) in Developer Relations, Developer Advocacy, or Technical Evangelism, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Deep understanding of game development processes, tools, and ecosystems across mobile, PC, and web.
  • Strong network in global game developer communities and events.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with experience running global, cross-functional teams.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
