The Vice President of Data & Analytics is responsible for collaborating across all functional areas of the business to develop advanced data, analytics, and reporting capabilities for the enterprise, ensuring timely delivery with a high degree of accuracy. A critical focus of the role is implementing a comprehensive enterprise data governance framework to ensure data integrity, quality, and security. By leveraging data as a strategic asset, this leader will drive innovation, optimize operations, and align analytics initiatives with the organization’s overarching strategic and operational goals. This role is essential in advancing the organization’s strategic objectives by fostering enterprise-wide data literacy, enhancing data quality, and implementing best practices in data management and analytics architecture.

The Vice President of Data & Analytics is a seasoned leader with strong technical expertise and business acumen, enabling the organization to transform its use of data. This role partners with business leadership to fully understand organizational needs and capabilities, directing teams to deliver prioritized data and analytics solutions while driving data maturity goals. The VP will create and align a comprehensive roadmap that demonstrates how data can be leveraged to drive business and clinical outcomes, providing clarity and vision for the organization.
Job Description

Key Outcomes:

  • Develops and communicates a clear vision for Martin's Point’s data and analytics strategy, aligning with organizational goals while fostering collaboration and consistency across centralized and distributed teams.
  • Provides strategic leadership on data governance, management, architecture, analytics, and reporting, influencing decisions across the organization. 
  • Engages key stakeholders to identify data and reporting requirements, delivering actionable insights through innovative analytics and visualization solutions.
  • Collaborates closely with Vice Presidents, C-suite executives, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Acts as a bridge between analytics teams across the organization, fostering collaboration and alignment on data approaches.
  • Regularly communicates progress, insights, and recommendations on analytics, governance, and data strategy to senior leadership.
  • Leads the design and implementation of enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics tools to meet the organization’s evolving needs.
  • Oversees the design and deployment of data integration solutions that connect diverse systems, databases, and cloud platforms.
  • Develops and implements the organization’s data architecture strategy, creating comprehensive data models, flows, and frameworks to address current and future data requirements.
  • Establishes and manages key performance indicators (KPIs) for information architecture and data management.
  • Implements and oversees an enterprise-wide data governance and management framework to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and stewardship.
  • Develops and maintains architecture roadmaps, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and integration across application systems.
  • Identifies and integrates new data sources, including clinical, operational, financial, and quality data, to improve decision-making and drive efficiencies.
  • Evaluates and adopts emerging analytic tools, technologies, and methodologies for both on-premises and cloud-based solutions.
  • Develops a robust data infrastructure to support advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) applications.

Education/Experience:

  • 10+ years of analytics experience in healthcare operations, with hands-on leadership of analyst teams and a focus on mentoring and effective team management.
  • 5+ years of Health Plan/Payor experience along with Risk Adjustment is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience with healthcare data analytics and delivery of actionable insights to support operational and clinical decision-making.

  • In compliance with MPHC’s Department of Defense government contract, any/all persons hired for this position will need to verify their US citizenship and complete the required employment eligibility verification upon hire.
