The Vice President of Corporate Development will be a pivotal member of the leadership team, responsible for advancing the company’s strategic agenda through mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, investments, and other growth initiatives. This executive will identify, assess, and execute opportunities that strengthen PerformYard’s competitive position and long-term market trajectory. Reporting directly to the CEO, this individual will serve as both strategist and operator, driving corporate development initiatives that enhance shareholder value and position the company for sustained success.  

This is a 100% Remote position - now & forever

Requirements

What You’ll Do:

  • Strategic Planning & Growth Initiatives:
    • Develop and execute corporate development strategies in alignment with the company’s strategic plan.
    • Identify new business opportunities including M&A targets, joint ventures, partnerships, and other growth initiatives.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions:
    • Lead the end-to-end M&A process: sourcing, due diligence, valuation, deal negotiation, execution, and integration.
    • Build and manage deal pipelines, relationships with investment bankers, VCs/PE firms, and advisors.
    • Conduct financial modeling, business case development, and ROI analyses.
  • Partnerships & Strategic Alliances:
    • Develop and manage strategic relationships with potential partners to enhance business capabilities or market reach.
    • Structure and negotiate strategic partnership agreements and investments.
  • Market & Competitive Intelligence:
    • Track industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform corporate strategy.
    • Provide insight and recommendations to the executive team based on market analysis.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    • Partner with legal, finance, operations, HR, and other departments to ensure smooth execution and integration of deals.
    • Lead post-merger integration planning and execution.

What you’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity.
  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong financial acumen and modeling skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with ability to operate tactically and manage multiple priorities.
  • Leadership experience and the ability to influence at all levels of an organization.
  • Presentation skills to support planning cycles and leadership meetings
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
