We are seeking a seasoned consultant relations professional to deepen and expand our firm’s influence with the nation’s leading benefits consultants and brokerage firms. As Vice President of Consultant Relations, you will operate at the intersection of strategy, sales, and market influence—building trusted partnerships with consultants at both the national and regional level.

This is a highly visible role, designed for a professional who thrives on shaping the market conversation, guiding senior relationships, and ensuring our solutions are positioned as a category leader with the consultants who matter most. You will serve as a bridge between our organization and the consulting community, informing product strategy, enabling growth, and ensuring our story resonates in an increasingly competitive environment.

What you’ll do…

  • Elevate Consultant Relationships: Develop and strengthen relationships with senior leaders across top-tier firms; ensure capabilities and differentiators are well understood through meetings, events, and collaboration with Sales.

  • Drive Growth Through Consultant Influence: Partner with Sales on strategic accounts and selling processes to increase revenue growth and win rate with designated consulting firms.

  • Prioritize Regional Impact: Focus engagement on high-priority consultant offices and markets where influence most drives client decisions.

  • Enable Leadership Engagement: Prepare and support leadership for strategic consultant interactions, enabling effective engagement at the highest levels.

  • Serve as Market Translator: Surface timely intelligence on consultant firm dynamics, surfacing challenges and recommending strategies.

  • Shape Market Strategy & Roadmap: Incorporate consultant insights into go-to-market strategies, messaging, product positioning, and future roadmap.

  • Enhance Retention & Expansion: Partner with Client Success to reinforce consultant support for clients, share best practices, and sustain long-term growth.

About you…

  • Extensive Experience: 10–15 years in employer health care benefits, ideally combining health and benefits consulting with roles at health care solutions/vendors.

  • Consultant Relationships: Established credibility and strong relationships with at top consulting and brokerage firms, with proven influence at both national and regional levels.

  • Strategic Influence: Ability to shape consultant decision-making with a data-driven, consultative approach backed by real-world experience.

  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated success in consultative sales, business development, and/or market-facing roles driving pipeline growth and revenue impact.

  • Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; able to distill complex information into clear, compelling messages for diverse audiences, including consultants and internal leadership.

  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally, and build trusted relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable operating in a high-growth, fast-paced, and evolving environment; organized, agile, and self-motivated.

Preferred qualifications include…

  • 3–5 years as a health and benefits consultant within a top consulting or brokerage firm.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data sets and translate data insights that resonate with consultants.

  • Knowledge of the broader ecosystem of point solutions and health care disruptors serving self-funded employers.

  • Track record of driving process improvements and scaling influence within commercial organizations.

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $175,000 - $185,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
