Summary of Position

Teladoc Health is seeking a Vice President of Brand Strategy to grow and advance the leading brands in virtual care. As healthcare undergoes rapid transformation, the company is defining care for a new era. This leader will guide brand strategy (creative is separate), drive enterprise-wide alignment, and inspire teams during a period of exciting growth and innovation with a focus on generating value for stakeholders.

By providing strategic direction and facilitating consistent high-performance execution, this role elevates our differentiated market position in the broader health ecosystem and builds brand affinity with consumers and business stakeholders. The Vice President directly leads a central team of experienced brand professionals and creates results through successful collaboration with colleagues across the enterprise.

  • Lead and direct a team of experienced brand and insights professionals responsible for designing and operationalizing the global brand strategy, architecture, positioning, identity, and expression with a focus on clarity, resonance, and business value

  • Participate in narrative development, collaborating with colleagues to evolve brand stories in alignment with the business strategy and at the pace of market dynamics

  • Develop and manage the annual operating plan for brand, clearly articulate priorities, strategies, initiatives, investments, and results; build alignment on the plan, proactively report progress and adapt as a business leader

  • Establish and measure key performance indicators related to brand health and effectiveness, making data-informed recommendations about strengths, opportunities, and optimization priorities

  • Develop, maintain and syndicate clear guidelines, useful templates, and proven best practices that empower consistent, effective brand activation by colleagues and agency partners; conduct training and serve as a resource for all who activate our brands

  • Facilitate brand governance processes that elevate performance for all by building alignment, fostering communication, and adapting responsively to new audience insights, innovation and applications 

  • Conduct primary research and synthesize insights from secondary sources, sensing shifts in the customer and competitive landscape and proactively recommending strategies to mitigate brand risks and realize opportunities

  • Oversee internal project teams and agency partners to execute programs on time, on budget, and in alignment with brand strategy

  • Assess and actively manage brands of acquired companies, recommending and implementing integration strategies to create business impact and customer value

  • Evaluate opportunities to maximize value through collaboration with business partner brands, including co-branding and sponsorship

  • Protect brands and intellectual property by working with legal, creative and digital teams to secure, monitor and advise on usage of owned brand terms, images, assets, and properties

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership, aligning brand strategies with business priorities to growth objectives

  • Lead, inspire and effectively collaborate with colleagues in marketing, communications, and audience experience functions across the organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, e.g. Journalism, Marketing/Communications, Business, Psychology.  

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience leading brand strategy within a large Healthcare enterprise with multiple business units.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience,  building and scaling global brands with business impact, in the healthcare industry.

  • Minimum of 5 years managing a high performing, marketing team.

  • Exceptional cross-functional collaborator with a foundational practice of listening, leading through influence, coaching, and building trusted partnership

  • Master’s Degree in related field

  • Creative, growth-focused mindset grounded by strong business acumen

  • Curious, iterative innovator who seeks feedback and tests/validates new strategies to fail fast and scale with confidence

  • Nimble, adaptive style; effectively navigates ambiguity, makes informed decisions, communicates and synchronizes with other leaders

  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills; clearly explains complex concepts, builds understanding and alignment that supports broad scale adoption

  • Effective executive presence, builds productive partnerships with senior executives and performs under pressure

  • Quarterly travel may be required to support brand in action and build business relationships

The base salary range for this position is $235,000 - $250,000In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2025. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
