From motion picture and television production to digital content and home entertainment, SPE operates in more than 140 countries worldwide.

SPE is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Advertising (FAST & AVOD Streaming – Global) to join our forward-thinking New Media organization—an innovative team driving the future of entertainment through cutting-edge platforms and storytelling.

This role will own end-to-end global ad monetization for our FAST & AVOD streaming business. The scope will span direct & programmatic sales, partner development, ad operations, pricing, yield, ad-quality governance, measurement, and revenue analytics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set multi-year go-to-market and pricing strategy; manage revenue delivery and demand pipelines across CTV, mobile, web, and OEM FAST services.
  • Drive supply-path optimization—evaluate/refine SSP mix to reduce tech fees and lift net CPM.
  • Own the CTV measurement roadmap (iSpot, VideoAmp, Nielsen ONE) and attribution partnerships; meet advertiser outcome needs.
  • Conduct inventory, capacity-utilization, and pacing analysis; maintain financial models for forecasting and scenario planning.
  • Establish dynamic pricing, floor tests, auction mechanics, ad-load policies, and unit-economics guardrails.
  • Cultivate senior relationships with agencies, brands, DSPs, SSPs, OEM platforms, data & measurement partners.
  • Partner with Content, Marketing, and Product teams to launch innovative ad products (pause-ads, shoppable, interactive overlays, sponsorships).
  • Direct Ad Ops on trafficking, brand safety, creative QA, and SSAI integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, LGPD, PDPA, COPPA, and emerging privacy frameworks; steward TAG/IAB certifications.
  • Leverage first-party IDs, data clean rooms, and contextual signals (with Data & Privacy teams) for addressable ad solutions.
  • Work closely with FP&A on quarterly closes, revenue accruals, and long-range planning models.
  • Hire, coach, and retain a high-performing global team; define OKRs, compensation plans, and succession pipeline.

Financial & Team Scope

  • P&L: Full responsibility for a multi-million annual ad business; accountable for YoY revenue and growth.
  • People: Lead a global team across Ad Sales, Growth Partnerships, Revenue Ops, Yield, Pricing, Ad Ops & Quality; manage associated OPEX & headcount budgets.

Required Qualifications

  • 12 + years in digital advertising; 5 + years leading global FAST/AVOD monetization.
  • Deep expertise in programmatic CTV auctions, SSAI workflows, inventory forecasting, and cross-platform measurement.
  • Experience managing direct & programmatic funnels, pricing, yield, and ad-ops functions.
  • Familiarity with leading ad-tech & data stacks (Publica, MediaTailor, Google Ad Manager, SSPs, LiveRamp, Adobe, Twilio, or equivalents).
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent a plus.

Desired Characteristics

  • Entrepreneurial, analytical, and solutions-oriented; can translate complex concepts for senior executives.
  • Thrives in a hands-on, cross-functional, scale-up environment; proven change agent who inspires and develops teams.

 Additional Requirements

  • Travel: 20–30 % international and domestic, as business needs dictate.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $191,000 to $250,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
