Operations Support SpecialistAbout Givzey / Version2.ai

Givzey | Version2.ai is a fully remote, AI-native company that created the Autonomous Fundraising category in 2024, when it researched, developed, and deployed the world’s first Autonomous AI to address the labor shortage and capacity gap in nonprofit fundraising. Fundraising teams have a finite capacity to reach donors with one-to-one communication, on average leaving 97% of donors to their organization receiving only marketing communications. A labor shortage compounds the problem: even when organizations want to hire more fundraisers, they often can't find them. The result is a significant capacity gap, where teams can't reach large pools of high-potential donors, resulting in important organizations with world-changing missions being unable to fully execute on their visions.

Version2.ai's Virtual Engagement Officers (VEOs) close the labor shortage gap with each VEO independently managing a portfolio of up to 1,000 donors, delivering personalized outreach through text, email, video, and robotically handwritten notes year-round. VEOs don't just make staff more efficient; they manage donor portfolios independently, freeing human fundraisers to focus their time on the highest-value relationships while also closing transformational revenue for these organizations.

VEOs have already generated over $20M in fundraising revenue to date, including individual gifts as large as $100,000, at an opt-out rate of just 0.07%. Organizations deploying a VEO see 4x annual ROI on average, and the top 20% see 8x or higher. More than 250 VEOs are now deployed across higher education, healthcare, and nonprofit organizations in the U.S. and Canada, including UNICEF USA, Bucknell University, Wake Forest University, and William & Mary.

Adam Martel founded Givzey four years ago and leads the company as CEO. He previously founded, scaled, and sold Gravyty, the first company to develop and sell AI-first solutions to nonprofit organizations.

Overview

Givzey’s Version2.ai is seeking an Operations Support Specialist to join its autonomous fundraising operations team. Operations Support helps provide the human-in-the-loop safety layer that helps make autonomous fundraising possible at scale and helps support our customers. This role supports the day-to-day monitoring, review, triage, and operational workflows that ensure Virtual Engagement Officers are engaging donors accurately, appropriately, and safely.

The Operations Support Specialist will focus primarily on inbound donor reply review, support ticket triage and resolution, content moderation, escalation routing, and routine messaging support. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, comfortable moving between systems, and able to exercise sound judgment in a fast-moving environment.

This position requires strong written communication skills, donor sensitivity, and an understanding of how thoughtful engagement helps protect and strengthen donor relationships.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and review inbound donor replies across Virtual Engagement Officer portfolios.
  • Support content moderation workflows to help ensure donor conversations remain within appropriate fundraising guardrails.
  • Review and triage support tickets related to Version2 operations.
  • Resolve routine support tickets or route issues to the appropriate internal team member.
  • Document recurring issues, common requests, donor response trends, workflow gaps, and escalation patterns.
  • Own the creation and maintenance of partner avatar videos post-onboarding.
  • Collaborate with Operations Specialists, Customer Success Managers, and internal technical teams to support partner and donor-impacting work.
  • Maintain clear internal notes, follow established processes, and contribute to documentation and workflow improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Experience in nonprofit advancement, donor relations, customer support, operations, communications, administrative support, or a related field.
  • Strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to review donor-facing or customer-impacting content with sound judgment.
  • Comfort working with technology, databases, ticketing systems, and multiple internal platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage repetitive, high-volume work accurately.
  • Ability to triage issues, identify appropriate next steps, and escalate when needed.
  • Comfort working independently in a fast-moving environment where priorities may shift quickly.
  • Interest in AI, fundraising technology, donor engagement, and operational process improvement.
  • Willingness to work from 11-7 or 12-8 EST to support Version2’s growing West Coast customer base.
  • Willingness to work the occasional Saturday 4-hour shift (approximately 1x every 6 weeks) that would be swapped for time during the business week OR a non-standard workweek that includes Saturday.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
