Job Summary
The Vehicle Registration Specialist 2 is part of the DMV Centralization Unit responsible for auditing and reconciling DMV transactions. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of DMV control cashier functions, processes and procedures to support Branch Management and Member Service employees via DMV help desk/ DMV E help/ Online Chat tools. This position may assist in employee skill set development, collaborate with colleagues and management to resolve complex transactions or member issues and may require travel to various branch locations.
Job Duties

  • Perform administrative functions for DCU such as bookkeeping records, preparing bank deposits, verifying the accuracy of bank deposits, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of DMV policies and procedures. Reconcile reports, review documents for accuracy and identify applications that require corrections. Perform a daily physical audit of DMV transactions. Purge DMV reports in the DMVA system.
  • Advanced knowledge of DMV processes and procedures: Provide assistance to branch employees by answering incoming telephone calls through the DMV Help Desk. Respond to DMV EHELP queries via email, phone, or online chat tools within established SLA. Troubleshoot and provide resolution related to DMV transactions. Maintain professionalism during all interactions.
  • Filing reports, mail disbursement, receiving and shipping of courier bags, and other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High School GED
  • 1-3 years Previous experience in the DMV Centralization Unit as a vehicle registration specialist. Preferred
  • 1-3 years administrative assistance and prior branch office experience. Preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and training in DMV rules, regulations and procedures preferred.
    Travel Requirements
  • Occasional travel to offsite business meetings or training. (10% proficiency)

The starting pay range for this position is:

$22.17 - $29.53
