CFGI is seeking a Manager to support and lead private equity value creation initiatives, portfolio company performance improvement programs, and strategic internal initiatives.

This role will focus on leading workstreams, managing day-to-day program execution, coordinating initiative governance, and delivering financial and operational analyses that support measurable business outcomes. The Manager will work closely with CFGI leadership, client stakeholders, and initiative owners to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, track value capture, surface risks, and ensure high-quality execution across initiatives.

 

What you might expect:

  • Manage value creation and operational improvement workstreams across private equity clients and portfolio companies.
  • Support development and implementation of value creation playbooks, operational improvement frameworks, and financial performance frameworks.
  • Lead initiative tracking, milestone management, workplans, risk logs, and performance reporting.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities across initiative owners, business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Conduct and review financial, operational, market, and business performance analyses.
  • Identify and assess opportunities related to cost reduction, margin improvement, revenue growth, working capital, and broader operational performance.
  • Track realized versus projected savings, EBITDA impact, and benefits realization across initiatives.
  • Review financial reconciliations, variance analyses, business cases, and opportunity-sizing analyses.
  • Develop and review executive dashboards, scorecards, status reports, and board-ready presentations.
  • Support executive operating reviews, steering committee meetings, and leadership updates.
  • Manage project timelines, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and issue resolution across assigned workstreams.
  • Mentor Consultants and review analyses and deliverables for accuracy, quality, and consistency.
  • Support proposal development, client workshops, business development activities, and internal capability building.
  • Support strategic initiatives and special projects across the organization.

 

What you must have:

  • 3-6 years of experience in management consulting, value creation, transaction advisory, strategic finance, FP&A, corporate strategy, business transformation, operations, program management, operational finance, or operational improvement.
  • Experience leading workstreams or initiatives involving value creation, operational improvement, financial performance, business transformation, or related consulting engagements.

  • Experience leading project workstreams, managing project timelines and deliverables, and supervising Consultants or cross-functional teams.
  • Experience developing financial models, business cases, variance analyses, or value capture analyses related to cost reduction, margin improvement, revenue growth, working capital, or EBITDA enhancement.
  • Experience establishing governance processes, initiative tracking, KPI reporting, risk management, or benefits realization processes.
  • Experience facilitating client or executive meetings, presenting recommendations, and serving as a day-to-day point of contact for stakeholders.
  • Experience at an MBB firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG), Big 4 firm, transaction advisory practice, corporate strategy team, or other consulting or professional services environment.

 

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with private equity funds or portfolio companies.
  • Experience supporting operational improvement, cost optimization, performance management, or EBITDA enhancement programs.
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Anaplan, Adaptive, or similar tools.
  • CPA, CFA, PMP, MBA, or other relevant professional credential.
