Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative UX/UI Intern to join our team this summer. This role will focus on shaping the user experience and visual design of our mobile app through Tapcart, helping us grow engagement, drive conversions, and maintain brand consistency across digital touchpoints.

You'll work closely with the Marketing and Creative teams to translate campaigns into mobile experiences, optimize our app for usability and retention, and explore new strategies to better serve our customers.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Experience & Visual Design

  • Use Tapcart’s dashboard to design and update the UI of Alabaster’s mobile app
  • Ensure alignment with our Shopify site and brand guidelines (imagery, typography, color, layout)
  • Regularly update the app interface to reflect marketing campaigns and new product launches

Creative Collaboration

  • Partner with the Marketing & Branding to ensure messaging and visuals align
  • Coordinate and schedule app push notifications (3 per week) tied to current campaigns
  • Support design needs for mobile-first assets like Instagram Stories and email graphics

Strategic Exploration

  • Test and recommend UX improvements to increase app revenue, usability, and retention
  • Monitor mobile engagement and help develop reports on app performance and customer loyalty
Requirements

Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Figma
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience in graphic design (coursework, projects, or internships)

Preferred:

  • Experience working with Shopify or Tapcart
  • Knowledge and experience in UX design or user behavior analysis
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a plus
