What You'll Do

We’re seeking a UX Director to lead, grow, and inspire our design team as we create world-class experiences for Epic players and creators. You’ll be responsible for driving the UX vision across multiple products and platforms, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation in every interaction. As a senior design leader, you will work closely with executives and cross-functional partners to shape strategy, present bold ideas, and deliver meaningful user experiences that connect millions of players and creators around the world.

In this role, you will
  • Define and drive the UX vision and strategy for a portfolio of products, aligning with company and product goals
  • Manage and mentor a team of product designers, providing guidance, feedback, and career development opportunities
  • Partner with executive leadership to present design strategies, user insights, and progress updates, influencing at the highest levels of decision-making
  • Foster collaboration across product, engineering, research, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive, high-quality player experiences
  • Establish and evolve design systems, processes, and best practices that scale across multiple teams and products and advocate for the user while balancing business goals, technical constraints, and product timelines
  • Encourage innovation by driving design explorations, workshops, and critiques that inspire breakthrough thinking while building a strong culture of design excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the team
  • Partner with other design and product leaders to ensure consistency across Epic’s ecosystem, connecting journeys between products and services and work with the design team to refine and elevate the visual language of the Epic Games Store
What we're looking for
  • Proven experience leading product design teams, with a strong portfolio of shipped products across mobile, web, and/or gaming platforms
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to define and communicate a compelling UX vision that inspires both executives and cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional leadership and people-management skills, with a track record of growing and mentoring designers at various levels
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and build alignment across disciplines and organizational levels
  • A highly skilled communicator and presenter, comfortable sharing concepts and strategies with executives, peers, and stakeholders
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end product design, from discovery to launch, with an ability to guide teams in balancing user needs with business outcomes
  • Experience building and scaling design systems, processes, and workflows across multiple product teams
  • A strong advocate for users, with the ability to synthesize research and insights into actionable design direction
  • A passion for games, creativity, and shaping experiences that bring joy to millions of players and creators

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA & WA).

Pay Transparency Information

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).

Washington Base Pay Range
