Who We Are:

Founded in 2009, Reformation is a revolutionary lifestyle brand that proves fashion and sustainability can coexist. We combine stylish, vintage-inspired designs with sustainable practices, releasing limited-edition collections for individuals who want to look beautiful and live sustainably. Setting an example for the industry, Reformation remains at the forefront of innovation in sustainable fashion—running the first sustainable factory in Los Angeles, using deadstock and eco fabrics, tracking and sharing the environmental impact of every product, and investing in the people who make this revolution possible. The brand has also established itself as a pioneer in retail innovation, developing an in-store tech concept that brings the best of its online experience to its physical doors.

We are a future focused organization committed to the belief that the problems facing our planet and society can be solved through innovation, common sense and education. Being naked is the #1 most sustainable option. We're #2.

Here at Ref, we put people first. We know that you can't innovate and do cool stuff without having everyone on board. So we work to create a culture where everyone feels like they belong and where their voices are truly valued. We build an inclusive culture together and make a real impact along the way.

UX Designer:

Reformation is looking for a UX Designer to join the Digital Product team. The team is responsible for driving product feature enhancements to improve the user experience across Reformation-owned digital surfaces, and this role will play a crucial part in helping the organization realize wins. The UX Designer is responsible for researching and designing digital products that integrate usability, aesthetics, and Reformation’s core sustainability mission. The ideal candidate should incorporate best practices with the established Reformation aesthetic, helping to create a best-in-class customer experience. The day-to-day will vary, but the right candidate is thoughtful, collaborative, and future-forward with a desire to see the tangible impact of his or her efforts.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support the Digital Product roadmap by designing experiences that help deliver ecommerce goals and are consistent with our brand aesthetic. This includes partnering with Product Managers to develop designs, identify edge cases, and conduct visual UAT.
  • Partner with the Creative team to:
    • Advise on UX best practices in creative-led content pages
    • Evolve our design system to ensure it stays consistent with our brand aesthetic and identity
  • Partner with the Ecommerce Strategy and Ops team to refine the IA and evolve the navigation as our assortment expands
  • Lead pilot for a digitally enabled retail shopping product, including roll out activities, collecting feedback, and recommending enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Insights team to conduct UX research to inform design iterations

What You’ll Need:

  • Available to work a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office/week at our Culver City HQ
  • 5+ years of experience in product design, UI design, and UX design
  • Degree in a relevant field preferred
  • Proficient in Figma
  • Experience designing for responsive web and iOS with a mobile-first mindset
  • Strong portfolio featuring your design experience with an emphasis on ecommerce solutions
  • Solid understanding of web development practices

Who You Are:

  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and an iterative approach.
  • You own your work, take initiative, are highly motivated, and have the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • You’re the type of team member who loves a challenge, but also is willing to pick up slack and considers no task unglamorous or too small.

TO APPLY: Please submit your resume, portfolio, and a short cover letter telling us about yourself and why you are a great fit for Reformation.

Benefits & Perks:

  • Health, vision, and dental insurance for eligible employees
  • Paid vacation, sick, holidays & volunteer time-off for eligible employees

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
