User Research Assisant
Location: Burbank, CA
Duration: 9+ Months
Project: Looking for a detail-oriented User Research Assistant who has an intense passion for gaming and the science around conducting research. As a User Research Assistant you will moderate groups (4 – 24 participants) through test sessions on console, PC, and mobile products where data is collected on our games. During this contract position you will focus on using statistical methods and data analysis to help scale qualitative research. You will receive training for many of the necessary skills, however knowledge of research practices and programing skills is critical.
Team culture/work environment:
- User research team. All game titles in all studios. They have to go through testing before they develop it. They work in labs. Bring people in from general public and have them test the games.
- Various testing, mostly in person, some surveys etc. giving feedback on how they make the games.
Key projects:
- They will support research leads. Doing operational work (setting up computers, tools, etc, or some research related work like cleaning data, etc.)
Purpose of this team:
- Testing games and giving feedback to the organization
Required background/ Skill-sets:
- Qualitative research experience understand methods. Experimental pysch, ACI, game design, degree in market research
- Interested in games actively playing games not just liking them. Assistance play the games themselves before they let the testers play.
- Understand what focus groups are, understand data, etc.
- Basic troubleshooting experience fore computers.
- QUANTITATIVE MUST KNOW PYTHON PROGRAMMIN LANGUAGE. THEY SHOULD KNOW HOW TO CODE IN IT.
