Prepare journal entries and support month-end close, perform reconciliations, assist in financial reporting, and improve accounting processes.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries and support month‑end and year‑end close.
- Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving variances.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist with financial reporting, schedules, and audit support.
- Support intercompany and accrual accounting.
- Prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and respond to audit requests.
- Assist with internal controls and accounting process improvements.
- Perform ad‑hoc accounting analyses as requested by management.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
- Communicating status of work and issues with managers and directors on a timely basis.
- Assist with Ad-Hoc tasks requested by managers or directors.
- Ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Monitoring activities and check for discrepancies or potential fraud.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies found during reconciliation.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
- Prepare cash reports and monitor cash activity.
- Regularly reconcile bank statements with cash receipts records to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience as a staff accountant.
- Strong math skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to interact with various levels.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Highly motivated individual with ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- General Ledger knowledge.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
- Firsthand experience with a major ERP system.
