Role & Responsibilities:

  • Handles routine labor relations and human resource inquiries related to policies and procedures; refers complex matters to appropriate management staff. 
  • Managing the semi-annual performance review process to ensure completion to be in-line with the salary review and bonus process.
  • Assists with recordkeeping related to hiring, terminations, leaves, transfers, and promotions.
  • Responsible for the full onboarding and offboarding cycle.  This will include working with the IT department to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Administer employee leaves, workers’ compensation, FMLA/CFRA, etc. for all employees and monitor employees on leave.
  • Process bi-monthly payroll, including finalizing timecards and reviewing accurate deduction information using ADP WFN.  
  • Managing multi-state data reporting as it relates to payroll records. 
  • Ensure proper filing of quarterly and annual payroll reports including Form 941, Form 940, W-2s as well as state filings. 
  • Manage and process all report requests from the corporate office in Taipei in a timely fashion. 
  • May attend and participate in interactive meetings; and prepare follow-up correspondence regarding interactive meeting proceedings. 
  • Conducts surveys, interviews, and other research related to human resource policies, compensation, and other labor/employee relations initiatives; collects information and reports results to corporate.
  • Assists with preparation of plans, policies, documents, and reports including organizational charts, policies and procedures and employee handbooks.
  • Assisting with the recruiting process as needed.
  • Provides supports in all HR functions and any projects, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or combination equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3+ year’s human resources generalist or HR functional experience in progressively responsible roles supporting a diversity of functional groups.
  • Working knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong business acumen with a keen aptitude to quickly assimilate new information.
  • Excellent organization, analytical, written, and oral communications skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, while exercising sound judgement.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex problems.
  • Must be a confident self-starter who can develop effective business relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, customer service oriented, and eager to ensure the success of the team.
  • Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision, and thrive within a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Excellent computer knowledge, advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, and experience with Human Resources Information Systems.
