The Sales Manager will drive sales growth, execute strategic plans, manage P&L, negotiate with retailers, and ensure excellent customer relationships.
Introduction
IROBOT is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and resourceful Sales Manager to join our team and drive profitable sales growth with Lowe’s, Home Depot, Kohl’s and/or Target.This individual will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, building relationships with key partners, and achieving sales and margin targets in their territory. The role requires financial acumen and a business owner mentality, with an extensive knowledge of the levers, actions and investments that drive conversion.
A successful candidate can work well cross-functionally to accomplish goals, possesses strong analytical skills to reach data-based decisions, and can achieve sell-in, sell-thru and margin goals. The ability to communicate and present professionally is a must.
What You Will Do:
- Business Planning: Develop sales strategies and tactics to deliver both revenue and profitability targets.
- Execution: Execute promotional and launch strategies that provide the best ROI and maximize exposure and conversion. Ensure iRobot is well represented in stores and online at all times
- Business Development: Identify opportunities, create and present business proposals that maximize sales and profitability
- Negotiation: Negotiate program and pricing, manage retailer challenges and requests to ensure a mutually accepted plan for success
- Financial Management: Manage the P&L and financial analysis needed to support sku placements, sell-in/sell-thru proposals and overall program needs.
- Forecasting and Reporting: Provide accurate sell-in and sell-thru projections to deliver forecasts and optimize inventory.
- Account Management: Build exceptional customer relationships by aligning goals, driving toward mutual success, and acting as a reliable primary point of contact
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activity and customer feedback to accurately forecast territory sell-in and sell-thru
- Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with Channel Marketing, Business Planning and Sales Operations toward mutual goals
To Be Successful You Will Have:
- Experience: 8+ years of experience delivering revenue and margin targets in the CE / hardlines industry
- Financial: Solid business acumen relating to sales, finance and account-level P&L
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building, presentation and communication skills
- Business Planning: Experience developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth
- Negotiation Experience: Demonstrated ability to negotiate retailer programs, placements and promotions aligned to the company’s interests
- Forecasting: Experience owning and accurately forecasting unit demand and revenue performance
- Software Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Sales and Operational Planning software
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
