AIRS Medical is a healthcare technology company using AI to make medical imaging faster and more accessible. Our FDA-cleared solution, SwiftMR, accelerates MRI scans by up to 50%, helping healthcare providers improve efficiency and the patient experience. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for people who want to make a meaningful impact on the future of healthcare.

🔹 AIRS Commercial Philosophy

At AIRS, we believe disciplined thinking and strong commercial results reinforce one another.

We expect our people to meet or exceed their commitments, create pipeline proactively, forecast accurately, and deliver consistent performance. How we achieve those results matters: through sound judgment, strong discovery, credible business cases, executive engagement, and helping clients make good decisions.

Our job is not to convince every client to buy AIRS. It is to understand what the client is trying to accomplish, determine whether there is a problem worth solving, quantify why it matters, and help the organization make a sound decision.

We value discernment over persuasion, evidence over assumption, and meaningful progress over activity alone.

Our commercial team operates within a disciplined model for account strategy, discovery, qualification, business-case development, executive engagement, and opportunity management. We value process because it improves judgment and execution, while still expecting independent thinking, adaptability, and sound commercial instincts.

Across every role, we look for people who are curious, coachable, commercially minded, comfortable with ambiguity, capable of thinking on their feet, and accountable for measurable outcomes.

🔹 The Opportunity

The Commercial Development Representative creates qualified commercial opportunities by understanding target accounts, identifying meaningful reasons for engagement, and initiating credible conversations with the right stakeholders.

This is not simply a meeting-setting role.

We want people who are interested in learning how sophisticated commercial decisions get made and who see commercial development as an opportunity to build the skills required for increasingly complex client-facing roles.

For high-performing individuals, this role can serve as a deliberate development path toward field sales.

Requirements

🔹 What You Will Own

  • Pipeline creation
  • Target-account research
  • Stakeholder identification and mapping
  • Outbound prospecting
  • Early discovery and qualification
  • Meeting preparation
  • Handoff quality
  • Account and prospect intelligence
  • Support for market and strategic-account development

🔹 Results You Will Deliver

  • Consistently meet or exceed qualified opportunity and pipeline-generation targets

  • Penetrate priority accounts and engage the right stakeholders
  • Improve meeting-to-opportunity conversion
  • Provide field sellers with useful account intelligence and preparation
  • Maintain accurate and complete CRM data
  • Demonstrate increasing capability in discovery, qualification, and commercial judgment

Activity matters, but activity alone is not success. Success is qualified pipeline creation.

🔹 What Great Looks Like

You understand enough about an account to know why someone should take the meeting.

Your outreach reflects a point of view rather than a generic sequence.

You identify the stakeholders who matter rather than simply the people who are easiest to reach.

The meetings you create are more likely to become real opportunities because you have already done meaningful research and qualification.

Field sellers trust your preparation because it improves the quality of their client conversations.

🔹 The Athlete We Are Looking For

You are:

  • Naturally curious
  • Ambitious and interested in understanding how organizations make decisions
  • Strong at research and preparation
  • Comfortable asking questions
  • Able to communicate credibly with increasingly senior stakeholders
  • Financially curious and capable of learning how operational issues translate into economic impact
  • Highly coachable
  • Able to explain your reasoning and adjust when challenged
  • Interested in developing beyond scripted prospecting
  • Comfortable working within structure while thinking independently
  • Motivated by learning how to create meaningful commercial opportunity, not simply produce activity
  • Competitive enough to embrace clear goals and consistent performance expectations

🔹 What You Bring

Required

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Evidence of intellectual curiosity and business acumen
  • Ability to learn quickly and incorporate coaching
  • Professional maturity and sound judgment
  • Demonstrated initiative and accountability
  • Evidence of consistent performance against measurable goals

Preferred

  • Prior SDR, BDR, sales, client-facing, healthcare, or technology experience
  • Experience with outbound prospecting
  • Healthcare or medical imaging exposure

  • The chance to help build the commercial organization, not just step into a finished one
  • Real ownership and visibility, with direct access to senior leadership
  • A product with clear clinical and economic value in a large, underpenetrated market
  • A high-performance environment that rewards judgment, curiosity, accountability, and results

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
