About Us:

Located in Calabasas, CA, Maverick has created innovative technology designed for sales organizations, such as ISO’s and ISV’s, looking to monetize payments by reselling our white-labeled payments stack. Our payment products include merchant acquiring services, a proprietary gateway, ACH processing, fraud & chargeback tools, analytics, and other value-add services. Maverick’s team includes underwriting, risk management, compliance & legal, technology & product development, on-boarding, customer support, information technology, and more.
About the Position:
Under the direction of the Vice President, Risk and Underwriting, and the Director of Underwriting, the Underwriting Analyst, II is responsible for underwriting merchant accounts, verifying and validating merchant data and determining preliminary or final merchant account approval. The Underwriting Analyst I is responsible for the full range of Underwriting functions, including, without limitation:

• Collecting, reviewing and analyzing a merchant applicant’s relevant history and records and obtaining additional information to determine suitability as needed.
• Determining the level of risk and security needed for approval.
• Offering recommendations on whether to approve an application.
• Communicating and coordinating with outside agents regarding merchant applications.
• Working and responding to tickets or other requests from customers, partners and internal Company personnel.
• Collecting data for reporting purposes.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Experience with high-risk payment processing required.
• Extensive Knowledge of Card Brand rules and regulations.
• High School Diploma or greater required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5-10 years of payment industry experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft products including Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with TSYS, First Data and similar merchant processing applications.
• Ability to analyze, test, assess and / or interpret information or data to make recommendations to enhance business operations.
• Ability to prioritize tasks as priorities shift in fast paced environment.
• Possesses strong analytical and research skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work autonomously in front of a computer for 90% of shift.
• Works on-site at Company’s Calabasas location; or 
• A regular telework schedule may be considered depending on location.

Pay Range:  $31.00- $40.00/ hr.
