LightFeather is seeking a UI/UX Designer to collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, enhance, and modernize custom application solutions. Leveraging expertise in user interface design and user experience optimization, this role focuses on creating engaging, visually appealing, and intuitive digital experiences. Working primarily on Microsoft and .NET-based solutions with React for front-end development, the UI/UX Designer will help solve user-centered challenges and deliver measurable value to our clients.

Location: Remote (U.S. based only)

Job Type: Full Time

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship Required

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance or Higher Clearance

Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze user requirements in collaboration with product owners, analysts, and developers.
  • Design user interfaces through wireframes, prototypes, and visual mockups.
  • Develop graphic user interface elements, including menus, tabs, widgets, and page navigation tools.
  • Build original, pixel-perfect visual designs that align with branding and functionality goals.
  • Identify and resolve UX challenges while ensuring responsive design across devices.
  • Create and iterate on layouts based on user feedback and testing.
  • Adhere to consistent design standards, including fonts, colors, and imagery.
  • Prepare and present design concepts to stakeholders for approval.
  • Collaborate within Agile teams to refine and deliver UI/UX features during development phases.
  • Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and technologies to ensure best practices.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Proven experience as a UI/UX Designer (or similar role) with a strong design portfolio.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, including familiarity with JS frameworks.
  • Expertise with wireframing tools (e.g., InVision, Figma, Wireframe.cc).
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of web technology standards, including HTTP, caching, and responsive design.
  • Experience translating design files into functional HTML/CSS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
