Position Description

We’re looking for an experienced Character Animator to join our team for a short term project. You’ll work closely with our Animation Director and Animation Supervisor to craft compelling, performances for live-action film and television productions. This is a remote position, with ideal candidates being located in the United States.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Create high-quality, realistic animation for live-action film and television productions
  • Collaborate with Animation, FX, Rigging, and Lighting departments to integrate shots seamlessly
  • Work within an established pipeline to take shots from blocking to final polish
  • Deliver work on time while maintaining the studio’s quality standards
  • Process and refine motion capture data in Maya to support character performances
  • Participate in review sessions and incorporate feedback efficiently
 
Qualifications
 
  • Professional experience as a 3D animator in film and/or television VFX — required
  • Reel of most current work with breakdown of responsibilities/specific contributions
  • Strong proficiency animating in Maya from reference, with the ability to own shots through to final
  • Solid understanding of anatomy, weight, and physical movement — essential for believable work
  • Hands-on experience working with motion capture data in Maya
  • Ability to thrive in a fast production environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to follow-through
 
Additional Information
  • Candidates will need to be located in the United States ideally
  • This is a remote (work-from-home position)
  • Pay Range: 55/hr – 65/hr DOE(The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position)
