Our Travel and Events team oversees the corporate travel program and internal events for Datadog.  The team helps to keep our employees safe, happy, and productive, which means every day is different. Facilitating business travel for many of our 8,000+ Datadogs around the globe, our travel program involves oversight of our airline and hotel partners as well as internal education of our travel policy. Events planned range from 50 person offsites to a 3,000+ person global sales conference including an annual sales incentive trip for some of our top performers.

We're looking for a Travel and Events Coordinator to join us in the New York office to help us scale our travel and events globally. This role will focus on our travel and internal events initiatives, while playing an active part in supporting our growing employee base around the world.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work unilaterally across every department and team at Datadog to ensure travelers have a smooth experience
  • Enforce our travel policy and create travel reports
  • Respond to travel-related inquiries
  • Support our internal events associates with their events. This would include venue research, rooming list management, budget reconciliation, and attendee guides before events.
  • Provide realtime support to event attendees when needed
  • Minimal travel may be required for onsite events (less than 10%)

Who You Are:

  • A true people person with an empathetic and friendly demeanor
  • Eager to learn, grow, and contribute with a positive, team-player attitude
  • Flexible and adaptable, remaining calm under pressure
  • Incredibly organized with strong time-management skills; able to move between tasks easily and adjust priorities accordingly
  • Someone who exhibits careful attention to detail when reviewing written materials and reliably grasp both explicit and implicit requirements
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and are comfortable writing full responses with just a few guiding bullet points
  • Able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills utilizing curiosity and persistence when faced with challenging questions, proactively researching and testing potential solutions independently
  • An active listener and quick learner, picking up new systems with ease
  • Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25lb
  • Able to work non-traditional hours if needed for events
  • 3 years work experience in coordination/project management or a comparable role working for multiple stakeholders (including college internships)

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • Generous and competitive benefits package
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities
  • Product training to develop an in-depth understanding of our product and space
  • Best in breed onboarding
  • Internal mentor and buddy program cross-departmentally
  • Friendly and inclusive workplace culture

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.

Datadog offers a competitive salary and equity package, and may include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
