The Transaction Manager will oversee and close commercial real estate debt and equity transactions, managing client and capital source interactions throughout the process.

(NYSE:MMI) is seeking a Transaction Manager, Capital Markets, to manage and close commercial real estate debt and equity transactions. The primary responsibility of the Transaction Manager is to oversee transactions from engagement through closing, acting as a liaison between clients and capital sources. As an experienced member of the Company’s transactional team, this position is designated as a non-exempt role.
The base salary range for this role is $38.46 – $43.27 per hour. This position is eligible for a discretionary performance‑based bonus. The exact bonus amount is not guaranteed and will vary based on individual performance, team results, and company performance. Actual pay will be determined by factors such as education, experience, and job-related skills relevant to the role. Marcus & Millichap is a multi-state employer and posted salary ranges are provided in good faith for compliance with all relevant pay-transparency regulations. These ranges may not reflect potential compensation for positions based in other states or regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and process commercial real estate debt and equity transactions from engagement to closing.
- Oversee all necessary post-closing follow-up.
- Perform thorough review and abstract details of title related documents, including purchase and sale agreements, title reports, surveys, escrow instructions and related closing documents.
- Independently coordinate all required due diligence and correspond with all transaction parties, including clients, brokers, title companies, lenders, surveyors, and governmental agencies.
- Responsible for document file management, both electronic and physical files, maintaining property database and various administrative duties.
- Prepare estoppels and SNDAs.
- Coordinate third-party inspections.
Attributes/Experience:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing commercial real estate transactions (brokerage, title company, mortgage banker, law firm).
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Understand standard real estate documents such as REAs, estoppel certificates and leases.
- Detail oriented with strong organization and time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external parties.
- Ability to handle numerous assignments simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and research skills.
- Proficient in Salesforce.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and aptitude for learning various other programs.
- Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team in a deadline-driven environment.
