Learning and Development, Training Program Manager

The IT Learning & Development Training Program Manager (ITL&D TPM) provides visionary and strategic leadership for the learning lifecycle of programs in DaVita’s core IT application suite. They act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, learning design and training delivery teams, ensuring that training solutions are not only delivered on time but are also pedagogically sound and aligned with organizational and program goals. Working in conjunction with Product, IT, and IT Customer teams, TPMs help map out, define and execute the list of dependent projects that need to be completed to reach the program’s overall objectives. They focus on strategy and implementation, and delegation of projects and resources appropriately within ITL&D. 

Responsibilities

General

  • Accept assignment to defined L&D Programs. This role will be assigned to support CWOW, and the teammate is required to have a deep working knowledge and extensive hands-on experience with the application.
  • Establish active engagement and positive relationships with the business partners.
  • Establish active and positive relationships with corresponding teammates.

Work in conjunction with Business & IT leaders to:

  • Fully understand Program intent, expectations, challenges, budgets, and success criteria.
  • Identify a comprehensive impact assessment on teammates, groups and teams affected by the Program’s deployment.
  • Evaluate and define Village impacts from the Program’s deployment.
  • Establish Program-level deployment timeline that combines, to the extent possible, major Program components into defined Deployment Events.
  • Help establish a Program-level Deployment Strategy that identifies, incorporates, and groups key “in-scope” elements into discrete Deployment Events where each event, enables a progressive implementation of Program elements.
  • Ensures each Event establishes the foundation for the future deployments.
  • Establishes Deployment Event dates.
  • Ensures appropriate coordination across and between L&D, Product teams, and/or business partners.

Project Governance

  • Oversee the end-to-end content development lifecycle. Establish timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality training assets.

Conduct Content Reviews & Perform Quality Assurance

  • Review developed training materials to ensure they are factually accurate, align with business processes, and meet established quality standards. (Primary reviewer for CWOW Virtual Instructor led (vILT) courses and Knowledge Base articles).

Performance Support Development  

  • Create and update job aids, quick reference guides, FAQs, and other performance support collateral to assist learners in applying their knowledge on the job.

Content Library Management:

  • Maintain an up-to-date and organized listing of all training content in our CWOW learning library (StarLearning courses, Knowledge Base articles, Pendo guides, DVU Digital Experience platform resources, etc.). This includes version control and archiving outdated materials.

Request Management:

  • Assume ownership for monitoring the ServiceNow/TMSS Submissions queue for requests to update or revise existing CWOW training content.
  • Coordinate with the TPM and CWOW stakeholders to vet requests, using data to balance workloads and assign the appropriate priority to related development task(s).

General Training Support:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for training initiatives as needed (e.g., release support initiatives), including communication and reporting.
  • Share program status and deployment information with L&D leadership team. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Proven experience and expertise with CWOW and field teammate workflows. This is essential for ensuring the accuracy of our training content (required)
  • Content Development Skills: The ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand performance support materials.
  • Project Management: Experience with identifying and implementing various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or Kanban) to keep a high-volume team on track.
  • Strategic Thinking: The ability to see the "big picture" and align training initiatives with long-term business objectives.
  • Exceptional Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to catch errors and inconsistencies in training materials.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management abilities to manage multiple tasks, maintain a content library, and prioritize incoming requests.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with SMEs, instructional designers, and other stakeholders.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfort with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Word, PowerPoint).

Optional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with basic graphic design or document creation tools is a plus. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), training rapid development tools such as Articulate Rise, Camtasia, and Articulate Storyline is preferred, but not required.

This position will be open for a minimum of three days.

The Salary Range for the role is $78,000.00 - $119,000.00 per year.

 

If a candidate is hired, they will be paid at least the minimum wage according to their geographical jurisdiction and the exemption status for the position.

New York Exempt: New York City and Long Island: $66,300.00/year, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $66,300.00/year, Remainder of New York state: $62,353.20/year New York Non-exempt: New York City and Long Island: $17.00/hour, Nassau, Suffolk, and Westchester counties: $17.00/hour, Remainder of New York state: $16.00/hour

Washington Exempt: $80,168.40/year Washington Non-exempt: Bellingham: $19.13/hour, Burien: $21.63/hour, Everette: $20.77/hour, Unincorporated King County: $20.82/hour, Renton: $21.57/hour, Seattle: $21.30/hour, Tukwila: $21.65/hour, Remainder of Washington state: $17.13/hour
