Training and Development Specialist

• Conduct research for programs and opportunities available to the workforce for further development training opportunities for the general workforce.
• Assist with various aspects of training classes such as opening classes and other associated tasks in support of the competencies and Command Interest Program Managers.
• Provide Waypoints training and information to the workforce. Develop and maintain various metrics.
• Do needs assessments and hold a mid-level to advanced level of comprehension and writing skills for creating documents such as SOPs and Statements of Work.
• Is proactive, organized, on-time, produces quality products in a timely manner, organized, dependable, available for work, strong communication skills – written and verbal, self-starter, able to work independently, able and willing to follow instruction, takes initiative and is willing to work as part of a team.
• Has a desire and ability to work and learn and is disciplined enough to work in either a home or office setting.
• Individuals must be resourceful, and able to stay focused on completing work by or before deadlines.
• The described tasking requires for the incumbent to perform the duties on-site, however, telework can be considered situationally on a case-by-case basis.

• Active Secret Clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field.
• Three (3) years of experience in similar role.
• Highly Skilled and Vastly Experienced in Microsoft Programs to include Excel, Access, Word, Outlook, SharePoint Online, Power Point, Flank Speed Teams, Waypoints, as well as Adobe PDF.
• Extensive experience within a customer service, professional office setting.
• Proactive, highly organized, and consistently punctual, with a strong track record of producing high-quality work within established timelines.
• Dependable and available for scheduled work, demonstrating reliability and accountability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter who can work independently while effectively managing priorities.
• Able and willing to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Takes initiative and collaborates effectively as part of a team.
