Job Summary

As the Trade Marketing Associate you will be a key team member contributing to the development, planning, and execution of localized markets’ annual sales and marketing plans. This role is central to our mission, driving the development and execution of key marketing strategies that elevate consumer experiences and deepen brand engagement. You'll execute the assigned geography’s marketing initiatives across various channels, harnessing creativity, and strategic insight to enhance visibility and drive market growth.

 

The Trade Marketing Associate supports solicitation by developing and implementing in-store and distributor marketing programs that promote product sales through advertising, promotional displays, and sales-supporting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute a formal planning calendar for each brand, ensuring the team is set up for success within the required timelines.
  • Collaborate with Leadership, Marketing, and Sales teams to encourage distributor and retail orders supporting brand and channel strategies across both on-premise and off-premise channels. This includes promotional activities, product listings, and event participation to enhance brand visibility and drive sales within your key DMA.
  • Work closely with the local sales team to ensure execution of national programming at the market level, making regional adjustments as needed to ensure excellence.
  • Collaborate with the regional sales team to identify and evaluate promotional opportunities that align with brand and sales objectives.
  • Develop consumer promotions for in-store use that enhance product engagement and boost sales.
  • Work with brand team and event coordinator to create impactful brand engagement opportunities and deliver on high visibility events.
  • Assist in the management of our regional sports partnerships.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities for growth to share with HQ.
  • Support the HQ finance team in tracking local budgets and ensure all locations, invoices, billbacks, co-ops, and budgets are maintained with diligence.
  • Actively participate in identifying new business opportunities and enhancing sales pitches, including product pricing and portfolio management.
  • Attend GSM meetings.
  • Provide free promotional materials, displays, and merchandising guidance to retailers to enhance product visibility.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in atrademarketingrole in the alcoholic beverage industry.
  • General understanding of the alcoholic beverage industry, including regulatory environments andmarketingcompliance.
  • Experience in both off-Premise and on-Premise channels, with a solid grasp of the differing channels.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and with key internal and external stakeholders, including distributors, customers, and brand partners.
  • Exceptional ability to work both independently and as part of a team. 
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize effectively. 
  • Availability to travel as required (estimated 25%).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business, marketing ,or a related field.
  • Experience in the spirits or beverage industry.
  • Strong project management, communication,and organizational skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Military experience is a plus.

Compensation

  • Estimated Base Salary Range: $80,000-$115,000 USD.
  • Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications.
  • The salary range refers to base salary only and is not inclusive of the total compensation package.
