Job Description
Job Summary:
Test Engineer: Designs, develops, implements and executes cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Prepares test and diagnostic programs, designs test fixtures and equipment, and completes specifications and procedures for new products. Plans the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. May be responsible for setting the parameters and testing of production products.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with the Teledyne FLIR design team and customer to formulate test requirements
- Prepare test matrix for new IC and/or FPA test
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements and specifications
- Write test code for new IC characterization and probe test
- Prepare Teledyne FLIR characterization and wafer probe test stations
- Perform required characterization and production probe tests
- Write test procedures and test reports as necessary
- Support and on occasion conduct performance testing to ensure the product meets performance requirements under various conditions
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve testing efficiency and repeatability
- Assist the design team in understanding and correcting any design deficiencies
- Assist other engineers in the performance of related duties
- Make sure equipment is setup timely
- Verification of new IC and/or FPA performance
Job Qualifications:
- Attention to Detail required assuring that tests are fully documented in compliance with Teledyne FLIR’s quality system
- Analytical Problem Solving required to assist the design team in understanding and correcting design deficiencies
- Collaboration & Teamwork to effectively communicate with design team and customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong Communication Skills – Oral, Listening & Written to effectively communicate and document test results and formulate test requirements
- Innovation: Must have the ability to develop new approaches and/or creative solutions using innovative methodologies and/or concepts
- Flexibility required ensuring the ability to adapt to changing requirements and work-load re-prioritization as indicated.
- Knowledge and experience in the following required:
- Electronic principles such as Ohms law
- Electronic components such as resistors and capacitors
- Basic understanding of CMOS circuits
- Ability to read schematic diagrams
- Ability to read, write and debug C #, Python, Verilog, and Microsoft Visual Basic code
- Ability to assemble printed circuit test boards and solder components is desired
- Imaging sensors, dewars and associated equipment is desired
- Wafer probe stations and associated equipment is desired

- KNOWLEDGE: Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
- JOB COMPLEXITY: Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Interacts with senior internal and external personnel.
- SUPERVISION: Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.

Salary Range:
$77,000.00-$102,600.000
