Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for a Territory Manager to join the team supporting Home Depot locations in the Los Angeles, Ventura County and Central Valley Territory.


Job Summary:

As Territory Sales Manager, you are responsible for maximizing sales opportunities within your Home Depot territory. The candidate will drive Henry product line opportunities by establishing and maintaining rapport with current and new THD decision makers who make and influence buying decisions. The position will also be responsible for generating business by obtaining and developing new pro customers as well as servicing the Henry product line in stores. This position will be based out of the candidate’s home with frequent vehicle travel throughout their territory. Candidates who are hired will receive training on Henry products. Responsible for approximately 50 Home Depot stores in an assigned territory:

  • Some Travel is required between retail account sites, visiting 4 to 6 stores on weekdays and demo set up at one store on Saturdays during peak season.
  • Company car and detailed training on Henry products provided

Essential Duties:

  • Selling to contractors in the aisle, at pro desks and on rooftop jobsites. Working with pro desks to prospect and close contractor sales.
  • Helping consumers with their construction projects involving roofing; housewraps; and insulation.
  • Training store associates on Henry products, hands-on use and seasonal projects.
  • Securing and building endcaps, bulkstacks and wingstacks to promote seasonal products.
  • Working with Home Depot Merchandise Execution Team (MET) to ensure product is set to plan-o-gram; literature, headers and price tags are installed and current
  • Building relationships with key decision makers and making sales presentations to (department manager, assistant manager, store manager, district manager, regional merchant).
  • Cross merchandising products throughout store.
  • Helping and selling directly to the consumer DIYer and building brand equity.
  • Setting up product demonstrations either in-aisle or in front of the store.
  • Educate and promote products to consumers, including hands-on Saturday demonstrations and explaining the benefits of project completion and use of premium products

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • At least 2 years of previous sales, retail, account management or service orientated experience is required.
  • Flexible availability in work scheduling. Regular work schedule is Tues-Sat, but opportunities and/or weather may arise that change schedule to M-F.  (Saturday demos during peak season).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Successful candidate will maintain a home office for administrative work, and will spend significant time within the various Home Depot stores in the Eastern OH, Central/Western PA, Northern WV, and Upstate NY area as well as site visits with customers that typically involve exposure to sun and other various outdoor weather conditions.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with a moderate to loud noise level.
  • Frequent moving, carrying and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds.
  • On-site visits with customers, including walking rooftops.
  • Regular travel throughout the 
  • Fluency in Spanish a plus
  • Home Depot/Big Box store experience a plus
  • Roofing; housewrap; and Insulation experience a plus

Education:

  • High school diploma required
  • College degree preferred
