Ready to take the next step in your commercial career? We’re looking for a driven and customer-focused Territory Manager to manage and grow existing customer accounts in Christchurch. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building strong relationships, delivering practical technical solutions, and identifying opportunities to create value for customers while driving profitable growth

About the role:

The Territory Manager is responsible for achieving the targeted sales and margin levels for the territory and maintaining and developing key customer and distributor relationships. The Territory Manager will need to maximize the performance of the distributor team by providing right level of resources, support and assistance to maintain and increase profitable growth.

You will be responsible for:

  • Customer Relationship Management
  • Support Sector Managers and business in roll out of new business within territory
  • Keep abreast of competitor products, pricing and activity and keeping Management informed of competitive developments.
  • Servicing customers to fulfil contractual requirements through the utilisation of call plans, sales reporting, and customer reviews
  • Service and maintain Diversey customers by performing planned service checks and, preventive maintenance. 
  • New business development 
  • Growing sales through direct and distributor sales 
  • Implements the business plan and sales strategy for the territory that ensure attainment of company sales goals and profitability. 
  • Identify and target sales opportunities within existing accounts
  • Develop product and market expertise
  • Prepare and deliver product presentations that address clients' (new and existing) needs and leads to the establishment of new business.

About You:

The ideal candidate will hold the following:

  • Sales and Service Skills/experience
  • Tertiary qualification preferably in a technical or commercial field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years selling technical servicing experience
  • Possess sound business acumen and desire to achieve.
  • Quick to learn and adapt to new technical skills and knowledge. 
  • Has the ability to set objectives and goals; breaks down work into the process steps; develops schedules and task/people assignments; anticipates and adjusts for problems and roadblocks.
  • Able to measure performance against goals and evaluates results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Microsoft Outlook Suite / word, excel, PowerPoint skills required
  • Ability to travel monthly – at least 10 days a month within New Zealand
  • Full and valid driver’s license
