Our Technology team is at the heart of it all. We don’t just “keep the lights on” – we create the systems, tools, and support that empower our people to thrive in a fast-growing, remote-first bank.

What Makes This Role Exciting?
  • Remote-First with Flexibility: Do your best work from anywhere while staying connected to a collaborative team.
  • Impact You Can See: Every fix, improvement, or new tool you implement directly helps teammates across the company succeed.
  • Variety Every Day: From building automations in Slack to coordinating with vendors on banking platforms, no two days look the same.
  • Be the Expert Others Rely On: Serve as the escalation point for tough support issues and a trusted guide for projects and rollouts.
  • Shape the Future: Build processes, documentation, and tools – including AI-driven knowledge bases – that make us faster, smarter, and better.
Your Role as a Technology Systems Specialist

You’ll be the first call when something isn’t working and the go-to partner when we’re rolling out something new. From Slack automations to Microsoft apps, from vendor coordination to knowledge base updates – you’ll have a hand in everything that keeps our team productive, connected, and moving forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and enhance Slack workspaces, build automation and workflows, and integrate with other tools.
  • Support employees with Microsoft apps (Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) while coordinating with our Managed Service Provider for advanced needs.
  • Configure, test, and manage software for core banking, mobile banking, internet banking, and mortgage technology.
  • Act as a liaison between the bank and vendors to guide implementations and ensure timely resolution.
  • Serve as an escalation point for employee support issues, ensuring HelpDesk vendors deliver.
  • Create and maintain documentation, SOPs, and knowledge bases (including AI-driven knowledge tools).
  • Communicate clearly about incidents, outages, and upcoming projects.
  • Pitch in on other technology projects and team initiatives to strengthen operations and culture.
Are You the One?

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Thrives in a remote-first, fast-moving environment.
  • Has 3+ years of experience with mortgage lending or core banking technologies.
  • Is comfortable with Slack automations, Microsoft 365 apps, and vendor coordination.
  • Communicates clearly, whether it’s updating teammates on an outage or writing SOPs.
  • Loves organizing, documenting, and improving processes.

Bonus points if you bring:

  • Experience in banking or fintech.
  • Familiarity with AI tools, automation platforms (Zapier, Power Automate), or identity management (Okta, SAML, SSO).
  • Time spent with HelpDesk platforms like Jira or ServiceNow.
What You’ll Get
  • Competitive salary: $50,000-$60,000/year
  • Performance-based bonuses
  • 100% remote work + monthly remote-work stipend
  • Health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • PTO, paid holidays, and wellness resources
  • A supportive, growth-minded culture where your ideas matter
Why You’ll Love It Here

This isn’t just another support role – it’s your chance to shape the employee experience at one of the most innovative remote-first banks in the country. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
