The PMO Manager will establish a Technology PMO, manage project portfolios, ensure delivery standards, and facilitate stakeholder engagement for Technology initiatives.
Purpose and Objective
AMIRI is seeking an experienced PMO Manager to establish and lead a fit-for-purpose Technology PMO that supports the brand’s continued global growth. This role sits at the intersection of Technology, Finance, and the business, bringing structure, clarity, and execution discipline to a fast-moving, creative-led organization.
The Technology PMO will be responsible for translating strategy into executable portfolios, improving delivery predictability, and enabling informed executive decision making. Success in this role requires balancing rigor with pragmatism, operating effectively against fixed seasonal and commercial deadlines, and building trust across senior stakeholders. This role is responsible for portfolio governance, delivery standards, and execution discipline across all Technology initiatives.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to a builder who understands the operational cadence and nuance of a luxury fashion house.
Portfolio and Demand Management
- Lead the end-to-end Technology demand intake and prioritization process, in partnership with Technology and business leadership.
- Ensure all initiatives align to business strategy, capacity, and funding constraints.
- Partner with Technology Teams and business leaders to evaluate delivery tradeoffs, sequencing, and capacity constraints.
- Maintain a single source of truth for Technology portfolio including status, risk, dependencies, and financials.
- Apply and continuously improve intake, stage gating, and readiness criteria aligned to AMIRI’s Project Delivery Stages.
Deliver Governance and Execution
- Establish and operationalize PMO delivery standards across Technology, ensuring consistent adoption.
- Ensure consistent execution discipline while enabling appropriate flexibility by initiative type and business context.
- Proactively identify delivery risks, resourcing gaps, and dependency conflicts, escalating and driving resolution in partnership with leadership.
- Hold Project Managers and Business Analysts accountable for milestones, scope, and outcomes.
- Escalate decisively, in partnership with Technology leadership, when delivery health, scope control, or timelines are at risk.
Ownership of High-Level Technology Projects
- Directly lead and delivery high priority, enterprise-level Technology initiatives.
- Own planning, execution, stakeholder management, and delivery for complex cross functional projects.
- Serve as the accountable delivery lead for initiatives that require senior oversight, strong governance, and executive communication.
- Coordinate across Infrastructure, Business Applications, Data, Digital, and external partners to ensure aligned execution.
- Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
Financial Management and Controls
- Manage Technology Capex tracking and forecasting under the direction of the Global VP, Technology.
- Ensure accurate project and portfolio level budget tracking and variance analysis.
- Support business case development including cost estimates, benefits, and ROI.
- Monitor vendor spending and contract burn against approved funding.
Team Leadership and Development
- Provide day to day leadership, direction, and prioritization for two contract resources
- Set clear expectations and performance standards.
- Coach team members on stakeholder management, requirements quality, and execution rigor.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend process, tooling, or capability improvements.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
- Act as a primary delivery partner for Technology leadership and senior business stakeholders.
- Lead portfolio and program level reporting with clear, executive ready communication.
- Drive transparency, accountability, and informed decision making.
- Push back when priorities, capacity, or readiness are misaligned.
- Operate effectively within a luxury fashion environment defined by fixed seasonal. calendars, runway milestones, wholesale commitments, and retail trading cycles.
- Plan and deliver initiatives against immovable deadlines where timing, quality, and brand impact are critical.
- Balance speed and execution rigor while respecting creative workflows and brand-led decision making.
- Anticipate and manage cross-functional dependencies across Design, Product Development, Merchandising, Retail, E-Commerce, Finance, and Operations.
Change Management
- Own change impact, business readiness, and adoption outcomes, not just delivery milestones.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on trade-offs, sequencing, and delivery risk.
- Proactively surface risks, constraints, and decisions required to maintain momentum and alignment.
- Ensure delivered initiatives translate into measurable business outcomes and operational improvements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Technology Project or Program Management.
- 3+ years in a PMO leadership or portfolio management role.
- Demonstrated experience leading large scale, cross functional Technology initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage Technology Capex and Opex budgets.
- Experience across ERP, POS, E Commerce, Data, and Infrastructure initiatives.
- Strong execution discipline with the confidence to challenge assumptions.
- Ability to influence across Technology and business without formal authority.
- Experience in retail, fashion, or consumer brands
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Shopify, POS platforms, PLM, or data analytics ecosystems
- Experience operating in a global environment with US and EU stakeholders
