We work together each day to foster an inclusive workplace culture where all of our employees feel respected, valued and have an opportunity to contribute to the company’s success. As a Technology Integrations Manager within PNC's Tempus Technologies organization, you may be based in a remote location. This position may not be available in all geographic locations.
Tempus Technologies, Inc. is the expert leader of secure payments at the point of interaction. For more than 25 years, innovation and producing high quality custom-ready solutions is at the forefront of everything we do. We’re committed to developing exceptional point-of-sale payment integration technology and software solutions to meet the growing needs of our customers’ business requirements. Our knowledgeable and friendly employees are passionately dedicated to delivering world-class support to every client. We thrive in a transparent culture that understands the value of shared ideas, teamwork, and excellence in everything we do.
As a Technology Integrations Manager, you will lead, mentor, and scale a team of Technology Integration Specialists responsible for delivering successful Tempus integrations. You will balance people leadership, delivery excellence, and cross‑functional partnership, while remaining close enough to the work to provide technical guidance and escalation support when needed.
In this role, you will serve as both a people leader and strategic operator—ensuring consistent execution of integration projects, developing team capability, improving processes, and acting as a senior technical advisor for complex customer integrations. While this is not a software development role, success requires strong technical judgment, the ability to review and guide integration designs, and confidence navigating customer and internal technical environments.
You will collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Implementation, Engineering, and Customer Success leaders to ensure integrations are delivered predictably, scalable practices are established, and customers receive an outstanding experience.

Key Responsibilities:
People Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Technology Integration Specialists through regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and career development planning.
• Establish clear expectations, roles, and success metrics for team members.

• Foster a collaborative, accountable, and customer‑focused team culture.
• Participate in hiring and workforce planning as the Integration team scales.
Technical & Delivery Leadership
• Provide oversight and guidance for integration discovery, design, and execution across customer projects.
• Act as an escalation point for complex or high‑risk integration challenges.
• Review integration architectures, API specifications, and technical documentation for quality and consistency.
• Ensure best practices are followed across integrations, including security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Balance hands‑on technical support with managerial responsibilities as needed.
Cross‑Functional & Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with Sales leadership to support technical discovery, pre‑sales conversations, and estimation for complex integrations.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to communicate integration gaps, customer feedback, and roadmap needs.
• Align with Implementation and Customer Success leaders to ensure seamless handoffs and customer satisfaction.
• Represent the Integration function in cross‑department planning and prioritization discussions.
Process, Strategy & Continuous Improvement
• Define, document, and continuously improve integration processes, standards, and tooling.
• Identify opportunities to increase delivery efficiency, predictability, and scale.
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and resource constraints across integration projects.
• Influence long‑term integration strategy aligned with Tempus product evolution.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
• A confident people leader who enjoys building, coaching, and scaling technical teams.
• Strong communicator capable of aligning technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable balancing strategic leadership with tactical, hands‑on problem solving.
• Trusted advisor to customers and internal teams during complex technical discussions.
• Organized, thoughtful, and proactive in managing multiple priorities across customers and team members.
• Demonstrated ability to drive accountability while maintaining a supportive team environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
• Previous experience managing or leading technical, integration, or implementation teams.
• Strong background supporting client integrations or enterprise software implementations.
• Experience acting as a senior technical consultant or solution architect.
• Experience with payment systems, e‑commerce, point‑of‑sale, or platform ecosystems is a plus.
• Comfort reviewing source code and troubleshooting integration issues (without expectation of hands‑on development).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
