Position Summary
The Technology Fellow – AI Systems & Automation is a senior-level technical leader responsible for advancing the organization’s capabilities in Generative AI (GenAI) and Agentic AI systems. This role will drive innovation, research, and architecture for large-scale AI automation, ensuring that emerging AI technologies are successfully adapted to solve complex business challenges. The Fellow will serve as both a thought leader and hands-on architect, collaborating with executives, engineering teams, and partners to define strategy, guide implementation, and shape the future of AI adoption within the organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design, architecture, and deployment of GenAI and Agentic AI systems to deliver scalable automation solutions.
- Drive applied research in emerging AI techniques, including multi-agent orchestration, context engineering, and adaptive automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, security, compliance) to translate business requirements into technical AI solutions.
- Establish standards, frameworks, and best practices for AI system design, security, governance, and lifecycle management.
- Mentor senior engineers and architects to strengthen organizational expertise in advanced AI.
- Publish thought leadership, represent the organization in industry forums, and engage with external partners/vendors to influence AI strategy.
- Evaluate and implement tools, frameworks, and platforms that accelerate AI adoption and reduce technical debt.
- Track industry trends and provide insights on AI risks, ethics, and regulatory implications.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years in AI, machine learning, or automation systems, including 5+ years in a technical leadership or distinguished engineer role.
- Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Expertise in Generative AI (LLMs, transformers, diffusion models).
- Proven experience with agentic AI architectures and orchestration frameworks.
- Strong background in automation platforms, distributed systems, and cloud-native environments.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java, and experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, etc.).
- Relevant AI/ML or cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure AI/ML, etc.) if applicable.
- Demonstrated record of leading complex AI projects from research through deployment.
- Visionary leadership with the ability to set direction and influence organizational AI strategy.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex AI concepts for executives, clients, and technical teams.
- Deep analytical and problem-solving mindset, capable of tackling highly ambiguous technical challenges.
- Adaptable and resilient in rapidly evolving AI/automation landscapes.
- Collaborative approach with strong mentorship skills to elevate peers and teams.
- Ethical awareness and thoughtfulness in balancing innovation with responsible AI practices.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree with specialization in AI alignment, agent systems, or reinforcement learning.
- Previous experience in enterprise-scale AI deployments within regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare, cybersecurity).
- Contributions to open-source AI or multi-agent system frameworks.
- Experience with security, privacy, and compliance in AI/automation contexts.
- Track record of published research, patents, or industry-recognized technical contributions.
