Position Summary

Jenzabar is in need of a mid-level Technical Writer with several years of experience. The person will need to be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Jenzabar’s products and user resources as well as the team’s processes, tools, and deliverables. Responsible for contributing to team training; developing end user documentation recommending standards and styles for team adoption; contributing to release deliverables, release processes, and content for the Jenzabar Annual Meeting (JAM); meeting release milestones and deadlines; and mentoring team members. Proven willingness to collaborate with technical and functional teams required.

Essential Tasks

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of Jenzabar’s products and user resources
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of team’s resources, processes, and tools
  • Attend team’s internal training sessions; lead a session
  • Recommend and assist with updates to team’s standards and styles for writing and formatting outlined in guides
  • Develop user documentation:
    • Includes online help, user guides, release highlights, and videos
    • Participate in team meetings
    • Assist with developing data visualizations
    • Collaborate with product managers and UX designers; assist with developing and editing user interface elements (i.e., hints, modals, field labels, etc.)
    • Participate in peer review processes to include submitting content and reviewing other team members’ content
  • Contribute to software release deliverables (completing pub text, installation, and configuration guides, updating and editing announcements, etc.), and assist with release processes (compiling help, preparing guides, etc.)
  • Assist with creating and delivering content for Jenzabar Annual Meeting
  • Assist with training for new team members
  • Consistently meet release milestones and deadlines
  • Maintain positive and professional attitude; demonstrate willingness to collaborate with functional and technical teams

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Prefer bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years of experience in a related field

The pay range for this position is $67,000-76,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, geographic location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus in addition to a full range of benefits. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed.
