About the role
Checkr is seeking an experienced Technical Sourcer to partner with recruiters and hiring managers in building exceptional technical teams. In this role, you’ll be a key driver in shaping our engineering, product, and infrastructure functions by identifying, engaging, and delivering high-caliber talent at scale to help us grow our platform and innovate in the background check and identity verification space.
As Checkr continues to expand our product offerings, we need a sourcing partner who thrives in high-volume environments, builds strong relationships with stakeholders, and knows how to connect with top talent in competitive markets. Your work will directly accelerate time-to-fill by consistently delivering qualified candidates into the funnel, enabling recruiters to focus on conversion and closing.
This is a remote 6-month contract position.
What you’ll do- Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to deeply understand hiring needs, role requirements, and team culture.
- Build and manage multiple high-quality, top-of-funnel pipelines for software engineering, product, and infrastructure roles through targeted outbound sourcing and candidate rediscovery.
- Leverage prospecting tools and past candidate pools to identify and re-engage qualified talent.
- Develop and execute creative sourcing strategies to identify and engage top passive candidates.
- Craft compelling outreach and engagement strategies that drive strong response rates and candidate interest.
- Screen candidates for technical skills and alignment with role requirements before handoff to recruiters.
- Track, measure, and share sourcing activity, pipeline health, and engagement metrics with stakeholders.
- 5+ years of technical sourcing experience for engineering, product, infrastructure, or data roles in a tech environment.
- Proven success in high-volume sourcing with the ability to manage multiple pipelines simultaneously.
- Strong track record of finding, engaging, and delivering top technical talent in competitive markets.
- Deep sourcing expertise with a diverse toolkit of strategies, platforms, and techniques (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, and Greenhouse).
- Experience leveraging ATS data and candidate rediscovery to drive pipeline quality and volume.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging, personalized outreach.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range. Since this role is remote, we have listed the top to the bottom of the possible range, but we will specify the target range for an exact location when you are selected for a recruiting discussion. The hourly pay range for this role is $45/hour to $65/hour.
