ABOUT GOODR

We create and sell active eyewear for anyone. No Slip. No Bounce. All Polarized. All Fun. Interested in joining our team? Keep reading.

OUR VALUES: We have two core values: Fun & Authenticity.

  • FUN = Being sh*tty isn’t fun. Agreed? Taking pride in your work, finding joy in being GREAT, and celebrating wins… and losses. Now, that’s fun!
  • AUTHENTICITY = Focusing on being authentic over being liked. (Next-level guru stuff. Count it.)

Fun Fact: We do not allow email to be sent internally. Carrier pigeons only. JK, we use Slack.

AUTONOMY: We practice autonomy, empowerment, and accountability so that every team member can be in control of their own life.

  • HYBRID WORKING: This role is required to be in the Inglewood office every Tuesday and Thursday with the occasional third day thrown in.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: We have an all-company learning program so that we’re constantly leveling up our skills.

SUSTAINABILITY: We think Earth’s pretty rad. That’s why we take action wherever possible to limit our impact on the planet.

  • 1% FOR THE PLANET MEMBER: 1% of goodr’s annual sales go directly to environmental organizations.
  • CARBON NEUTRAL: In 2019, goodr became a 100% carbon neutral company.

Fun Fact: goodr celebrates every Earth Day by releasing limited-edition sunglasses with frames made from 100% recycled materials—and the packaging is 100% sustainable, too!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you the person who loves collaborating and bringing order to chaos? Strategizing goals and seeing projects from start to finish may seem like a drag to most, but to you, it is nirvana. You are an expert at spearheading major initiatives, developing timelines, and putting plans into action. You love working on multiple projects with cross-functional departments, holding leadership accountable, thriving in an autonomous environment, and leading the charge with total ownership.

If that sounds like you, GLORIOUS! You might be the Senior Technical Project Manager we are looking for—an ultimate control freak (in a good way) who loves managing technical projects that support our Systems and Finance teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as the Senior Project Manager and strategic glue for the Money department, driving core systems, accounting, Business Intelligence (BI), and FP&A projects from inception to launch
  • Be the force multiplier for the CFO by promoting accountability, ensuring structured plans with clear ownership, and keeping technical sprints on track with total transparency
  • Focus on long-term planning by spearheading major initiatives across cross-functional teams to improve financial controls, data integrity, and month-end close efficiency
  • Translate complex business and accounting requirements into high-level technical scopes and actionable milestones for engineering teams
  • Create and present executive briefs to succinctly communicate project updates, system milestones, and compliance risks to leadership and KRH
  • Identify the need for and run high-energy working sessions to brainstorm solutions, align stakeholders, and build out streamlined cross-department workflows (blueprints)
  • Proactively identify problems and bring solutions to the table, leveraging your knowledge of CPG business processes, accounting, and data tools (SQL, ETL, Tableau)
  • Own the departmental knowledge base, ensuring every financial workflow and BI logic is documented so systems remain functional and accessible to all
  • Support strategic initiatives to scale the brand to be one of the largest and most accessible eyewear brands in the world, building systems that turn creative ideas into repeatable results
  • Apply a customer-obsessed mindset to design brand and financial touchpoints that anticipate stakeholder and customer needs
  • No direct reports – you get to lead the charge, without managing your fellow flamingos
  • This role is in the Money department and will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • May or may not have a degree... we don’t care (bonus points for Basset Hound Science or Dinosaur Law)
  • 7+ years of project management experience leading technical roadmaps that specifically support systems architecture and financial operations
  • Active PMP and/or Scrum/Agile certification with a track record of running complex, backend systems sprints
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, internal financial controls, and month-end close processes
  • Experience with ERP (We use NetSuite!) and Excel (pivot tables in your sleep) is a MUST
  • Comfortable with SQL, ETL, data warehousing, and BI tools like Tableau to help build clean, automated data pipelines
  • Expert at translating technical speak and turning messy business requirements into structured scopes that developers can actually build
  • Strong grasp of commercial, supply chain, retailer, and product data, ideally within the CPG industry
  • Figma experience is a HUGE plus
  • Proactive, independent problem solver who easily distinguishes "urgent fires" from "strategic gold"
  • Strong communicator who lives into collaboration and holding people accountable
  • Driven by personal growth and thrives in an environment of constant feedback
  • Is proactive and an independent problem solver! (Can you Google a question?)

WHAT YOU GET

  • A role at a company that is going to the moon
  • The opportunity to show up every day and have fun
  • The ability to learn and grow as a person
  • Paid vacation (we encourage you to take time off!)
  • Paycheck... obviously. Salary range: $145k - $160k, final offer will be made within this range based on experience
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits
  • 401(K) with company matching
  • Financial Wellness Counseling
  • Sunglasses. Duh.

**No Visa Sponsorship is available for this position.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
