Technical Sales Support Specialist
The Technical Sales Support Specialist is responsible for assisting the Account Executives throughout the selling process by providing technical sales support on matters relating to product architecture, security, access controls, compliance, single sign-on, data protection, and data backup and recovery. The impact of the role will be to provide additional resources to the Account Executives during longer and more complex sales cycles and to establish FloQast as a safe and secure SaaS offering. The Technical Sales Support Specialist will work in close partnership with, and at the direction of, the Account Executives and will own certain aspects of the more complex sales cycles including the more technical aspects of security and IT reviews, RFP response and proposal development, assistance with any prototypes, and general support and assistance during the sales cycles.

This role can be either Los Angeles or Columbus based.
Duties and Respobsibilities:
- Maintain an expert level of understanding of the base functionality of the FloQast solutions as well as the overall architecture, cloud storage architecture, folder structure, development environment and methods, development and release cycles
- Actively participate as a technical “subject matter expert” during AE product demonstrations
- Take ownership of complex technical and security related issues that evolve during the sales cycle, including security assessments
- Make recommendations to management on how to more effectively address the technical and security related objections that develop during the complex sales cycles
- Build and maintain documentation and collateral that speaks specifically to the technical and security related aspects of the FloQast solution
- Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding the technical and security related aspects of the FloQast solution
- Any other tasks that may be assigned to help the company meet its goals
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3 – 5 years in a technical pre-sales role
- 3 – 5 years experience in SaaS environment; accounting or FinTech system focus a plus
- Familiarity with professional and industry standards including Service Organization Control (SOC) 1,2 and 3 reports, General Data Protection Regulation (GDRP), etc a plus
- Previously worked in a teamed sales environment, as well as working independently on specific aspects of a sales cycle
- Experience with RFP response and detailed proposal creation
- Experience in relevant customer support or sales role a plus
- Highly energetic, positive and enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal skills and collaborative orientation
- Ability to effectively participate as a team member; both in a supporting role to AEs and owning specific technical and security related issues independently during the sale cycle
- Self-starter with a high level of initiative and strong sense of ownership and urgency, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment, often with changing priorities
- Proactive problem solver; detail-oriented, self-motivated
