Job Description: 

As a Sales Engineer and Industry Technical Specialist for the US Government Sales Engineering Team, you would be influencing and advocating technical abilities of Intel based products and solutions for Intel's Business units including Intel Government Technologies through solutions led approach to support mission requirements for the Federal/Civilian Government, as well as the State, Local and Higher Education Markets.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage end customer technical relationships, provides technical expertise, and work with solution providers and partners and Intel Sales teams to drive Intel based product opportunity pipeline and purchases.

  • Develop technically advanced solutions that help solve customer's mission problem, while creating significant pull for Intel's products and solutions.

  • Collaborate with global Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), Cloud Service Providers (CSPs), Digital Services/SaaS providers, Enterprise, Government customers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and GSI/MSP partners to maximize utilization of Intel products' capabilities.

  • Develop the industry offerings to drive end customer design and deal wins and/or open new market segments for differentiated computing capabilities in the industry.

  • Work with the government customers and federally funded research and development organizations, partners, OEMs, ISVs, and business unit development teams to create new solutions, software and services optimization through technical engagement and utilization of Intel product capabilities across the solution stack.

  • Gather customer feedback of assigned accounts to understand the drivers of satisfaction and or dissatisfaction.

  • Convey technical requirements from partners and customers as a strategic input to product development roadmap.

  • Deliver presentations and sit on panel/round table discussions at Intel, industry and customers technical forums to position Intel as thought and product leader.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the following skills and behavioral traits:

  • Exhibit solid understanding of key technology trends, industry segments and Intel's product lines to develop technically advanced solutions that help solve customer's business problem, while creating significant pull for Intel's products and solutions.

  • Act as advisor to senior government IT and OT executives.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • US Citizenship required.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as engineering, computer science, or relevant technical or business field or with a strong emphasis on information technology and operations technology system architecture.

  • 4+ years of experience as a sales engineer or similar experience supporting the Government industry.

  • Experience with government acquisitions processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with supercomputing ecosystem.

  • Experience working with customers in their hardware and software development lifecycle.

  • 5+ years or more of experience of the application of complex and emerging technologies in any of the domains of supercomputing, smart city, logistics, IT and OT enablement and hardware technology.

  • Experience helping customers navigate workload location between public cloud, on-prem AI system and use cases.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:

$181,390.00-$256,080.00

Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.

Work Model for this Role

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. * Job posting details (such as work model, location or time type) are subject to change.
