Summary

Codazen is growing—and we’re looking for a Technical Sales Development Representative to help lead that growth. This isn’t your average sales or account management role. We’re seeking someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, business, and creativity—a leader who can speak the language of code, understand client challenges, and craft solutions that drive real business impact.

If you’re passionate about both the art of the deal and the craft of technology, this role offers the opportunity to shape client relationships, influence strategy, and make your mark in a rapidly moving agency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Leadership to refine messaging and value propositions.
  • Build early stages of sales pipeline by identifying, researching, and engaging with prospective customers
  • Engage enterprise prospects through outreach, referrals, and targeted campaigns.
  • Qualify inbound leads through discovery calls to assess the fit of Codazen services and products.
  • Collaborate tightly with Marketing to convert campaign leads into opportunities.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by meeting and exceeding weekly/monthly KPIs for outreach, meetings booked, and qualified pipeline generated.
  • Keep accurate and organized records of all prospect interactions in HubSpot CRM.
  • Provide feedback on market trends, prospect pain points, and messaging effectiveness to improve sales strategy..
  • Partner with the Strategic Engagements team to ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of Codazen’s sales process and playbooks.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in technology consulting, software engineering services, or SaaS.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in complex, consultative sales cycles.
  • Strong discovery, listening, and solution-selling skills
  • Experience collaborating with technical leaders to co-craft proposals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with CRMs (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.) and modern sales tools.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to align solutions with client ROI.
  • A proactive, curious mindset that stays ahead of market trends and technology differentiators.

At Codazen, you won’t just be managing accounts—you’ll be shaping the future of how people experience technology. This is your chance to be part of a growing, creative, and ambitious agency where your ideas and expertise truly matter.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and certifications.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
