Vast is looking for a Technical Recruiter (Contract), reporting to the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition, to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.
This will be a full-time, non-exempt (fixed-term) position located in our Long Beach location.
Responsibilities:
- Execute full life cycle recruiting primarily on Engineering and Technician roles.
- Meet with client groups for recruiting intakes, post roles in our ATS (Greenhouse), source passive candidates, interview and deliver a stellar candidate experience.
- Schedule and run interview feedback debrief meetings with hiring teams.
- Discuss and negotiate compensation with candidates (including conversations around equity), extend offers, and guide the offer process to close.
- Initiate and perform background and reference checks.
- Foster a service-oriented culture that ensures delivery of efficient, effective, quality driven service to internal customers.
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates through proactive market research and on-going relationship management.
- Evaluate candidates for alignment with company mission and values.
- Prepare hiring teams by developing cohesive interview plans and best practices for interviewing.
- Continuously refine the hiring process to ensure high interview-to-offer ratios.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant degree.
- 5+ years of experience in full life cycle technical/engineering recruiting; primarily in the Hardware and/or Mechanical Engineering spaces.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Experience working with our ATS, Greenhouse.
- Demonstrated ability to source candidates with niched areas of expertise.
- Self-directed with a high sense of urgency while maintaining a meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong customer service mindset.
- Excellent communicator and problem solver.
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and maintain unwavering poise under pressure.
- Highly organized with a knack for building relationships.
- Sharp eye for detail and precision.
Pay Range:
- Technical Recruiter (Contract) : $55.00 -$70.00/hr
