We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Project Manager to lead projects involving data warehouse, Python development, and multiple web applications. The ideal candidate will thrive in a distributed global team environment and possess a strong background in agile methodologies. Key qualifications include excellent customer interaction skills for crafting effective JIRA stories, robust documentation maintenance capabilities, and crucial experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, BigTable, Storage, and Dataflow.
The Opportunity:
Project Leadership: Lead and oversee the full lifecycle of technical projects, with a strong focus on data warehouse management, Python development, and web application initiatives.
Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate the efforts of a geographically dispersed global team, fostering effective communication and collaboration to ensure project success.
Agile Implementation: Implement and manage agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM, Kanban) to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within scope.
Requirements Management: Collaborate closely with customers to gather detailed requirements and translate them into clear, actionable JIRA stories.
Comprehensive Documentation: Maintain thorough project documentation, including design specifications, user guides, process flows, and other essential artifacts.
Quality Assurance: Uphold the company's quality standards by overseeing rigorous testing and validation processes for all deliverables.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure smooth progression and minimize disruptions.
Budget Oversight: Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring expenses align with allocations and promoting cost-effective solutions.
Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular and transparent updates to stakeholders on project status, deliverables, scope changes, and timelines.
Who You Are:
You have a minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Technical Project Manager.
You have demonstrated success in managing data warehouse projects and Python development initiatives.
You have extensive experience managing multiple web application projects with distributed global teams.
You have in-depth, hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, including BigQuery, BigTable, Storage, and Dataflow to handle Petabytes of data.
You are proficient in agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM and Kanban.
You have exceptional ability to interact with customers, elicit requirements, and translate them into detailed JIRA stories.
You have strong documentation skills, capable of creating and maintaining comprehensive and clear project documents.
You have expertise in data warehouse technologies and architectural principles.
You have a solid understanding and hands-on experience with Python development.
You have knowledge of web application development lifecycle and management.
You are proficient with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, BigTable, Storage, and Dataflow.
This position requires that you are onsite in Santa Clara, CA 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday). Friday can be onsite or work from home.
Preferred Qualifications:
You have experience with other programming languages and development tools like Java or worked on cloud services like AWS, Azure etc.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Santa Clara, CA is: 162,600-302,000 Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
