Own client request intake, triage, routing, backlog organization, requirements gathering, release communications, and cross-functional coordination for SaaS product teams. Partner with Customer Success, Support, Marketing, and Engineering to turn requests into actionable work, maintain accurate tickets, support frequent releases, and communicate outcomes clearly in a distributed, async-first environment.
About
PeopleGrove builds software that helps higher education institutions support students and graduates at every stage of their journey, from experiential learning to career outcomes. Our CORE platform powers critical workflows for nursing programs, educator preparation, counseling, and social work, helping institutions meet accreditation requirements, track student competency, and demonstrate program impact.
The Role
We’re looking for a Technical Project Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our CORE product team, specifically ELMS and CompMS, the platforms our clients use to manage clinical education workflows such as rotations, placements, competency tracking, and credentialing.
This is an execution and operations role, not a roadmap-ownership role. You will make sure client and internal requests get triaged and routed to the right owner, backlogs stay organized and accurate, and the team communicates clearly and consistently on what shipped. You’ll also do lightweight discovery and requirements gathering when a request needs more definition before it can be built.
The team runs on rapid, continual small releases. Your job is to keep the process running smoothly, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks, nothing sits unrouted, and all stakeholders know what changed and why.
Note : This role would be based in India and scoped to a 6-month contract remote position. Kindly apply if you're okay with contractual role.
What You’ll Do
- Own the client request intake process end to end: triage incoming requests, categorize them, route them to the correct product or engineering owner, and track them through to resolution.
- Keep the backlog organized and current: ensure tickets are correctly tagged, prioritized in the right queue, and groomed so engineering can pick them up without back-and-forth.
- Communicate work outcomes clearly: write and publish release notes, status updates, and close-the-loop communications for CS, Support, and clients after each release.
- Conduct lightweight discovery and requirements gathering when a request needs clarification: talk directly to CS, Support, or clients, document clear acceptance criteria, and hand off well-scoped requirements to engineering.
- Partner closely with CS and Support: they are your primary signal source. Turn recurring asks and escalations into properly scoped, routed, and trackable work instead of one-off fixes.
- Support release communications and GTM readiness: work with CS and marketing to make sure small, frequent releases are documented and understood by the people who need to know.
- Work closely with Engineering to keep requests moving: make sure tickets are actionable and specific enough to avoid rework, given the team’s fast release cadence.
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience in business analysis, product operations, or a similar role, ideally within B2B SaaS.
- Demonstrated experience running a structured intake and triage process for a high volume of incoming requests.
- Strong organizational skills, with experience keeping a backlog or board (Jira or similar) clean, accurately tagged, and up to date.
- Excellent written communication skills, specifically translating product and engineering changes into clear release notes and client-facing updates.
- Comfort conducting lightweight requirements gathering: you can take an ambiguous request and turn it into a clear, actionable ticket.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, especially working directly with CS and Support.
- Comfort working in a distributed, async-first, fast-paced environment with frequent small releases.
- Curiosity, rigor, and a bias toward outcomes over output.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar product ops tooling.
- Experience supporting a legacy platform or product in active maintenance or stabilization mode.
- Experience with clinical education compliance, placement coordination, credentialing, or competency management platforms.
- Experience writing release notes or client-facing documentation.
- Prior experience at a growth-stage edtech or vertical SaaS company.
Nice to Have
