JOB DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATION Senior Project Technical Manager Domain: Wealth Management Technology ROLE TITLE Platform Focus: Data Ingestion & Integration Methodology: Agile / Azure DevOps (ADO) CORE FOCUS AREA Sr. Project Technical Manager KEY TEAM CONTACTS Devs, Data Analysts, QA Data Engineers, DevOps 1. ROLE OVERVIEW Data Ingestion Platform Execution & Planning PRIMARY TECH STACK / TOOLS Azure DevOps (ADO), MS Azure Cloud Environment The Senior Project Technical Manager will drive technical delivery, work organization, and strategic planning for a core Data Ingestion Platform supporting a high-profile Wealth Management client. Sitting at the intersection of technical architecture, software delivery, and project management, this role is essential for orchestrating complex data workflows and turning architectural vision into executed reality. The successful candidate will act as the delivery nexus across cross-functional engineering pods— collaborating daily with Developers, Data Analysts, QA Data Engineers, and DevOps Engineers. This individual must possess a deep understanding of project team development activities, end-to-end SDLC processes, and enterprise interdependencies, paired with strong communication skills and hands-on expertise in Azure DevOps (ADO) and Agile sprint execution. Strategic Mission Ensure structured, predictable, and high-quality execution of data ingestion pipelines while aligning interdependencies across enterprise Wealth Management ecosystems. 2. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • • • • Data Ingestion Platform Work Management: Direct, organize, and structure technical work across the client's Data Ingestion Platform, ensuring clean mapping of data ingestion pipelines, ETL/ELT flows, and client reporting feeds. Sprint Planning & Execution: Lead end-to-end Sprint Planning, daily standups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives utilizing Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar Agile tooling. Translate technical requirements into actionable user stories and task breakdowns. Cross-Functional Pod Coordination: Work comfortably and collaboratively on a daily basis with multi disciplinary engineering roles—including Developers, Data Analysts, QA Data Engineers, and DevOps resources—to resolve blockers and drive sprint commitments to completion. Enterprise Dependency Mapping: Proactively identify, track, and manage cross-functional interdependencies across core enterprise areas, upstream data providers, downstream analytics, and enterprise security/compliance platforms. • • • Development Lifecycle Tracking: Maintain comprehensive insight into high-level development activities, build phases, code migration schedules, and technical deliverables across the platform. QA & Deployment Alignment: Coordinate with QA Data Engineers and DevOps teams to streamline environment readiness, test automation pipelines, data validation strategies, and release management. Technical Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, delivering clear status updates, risk mitigations, and project roadmaps using exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 3. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • • • • • • • Experience: 7+ years of experience in Technical Project Management, Technical Delivery, or Technical Program Management within complex IT environments. Data Platform Familiarity: Proven background organizing and delivering projects involving enterprise data architectures, Data Ingestion Platforms, ETL/ELT pipelines, or data warehousing. Agile & Tooling Expertise: Extensive experience driving overall Sprint Planning and delivery using Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, or equivalent enterprise Agile platforms. Team Orchestration: Proven track record of direct collaboration and credibility with hands-on technical teams (Developers, Data Analysts, QA Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers). Enterprise Acumen: Ability to identify and manage high-level technical interdependencies, enterprise architecture frameworks, and organizational workflows. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders and articulate project goals clearly. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience. 4. PREFERRED EXPERIENCES • • • • Wealth Management / Financial Services Domain: Direct project experience within Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Asset Management, or Financial Services, with knowledge of wealth data structures (portfolios, accounts, transactions, market data). MS Azure Cloud Environment: Direct hands-on or technical management experience within the Microsoft Azure Cloud ecosystem (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake). Data Quality & DevOps Familiarity: Understanding of automated CI/CD deployment pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, DataOps, and automated data quality validation frameworks. Professional Certifications: Agile or Project Management certifications (PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM) or Cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals / Azure Data Fundamentals).
