About the Opportunity

Pragmatike is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing industrial technology company developing AI-powered software that helps manufacturers optimize production processes, improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and accelerate digital transformation across complex industrial environments.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead industrial software implementation projects across the USA and Latin America. You'll manage complex customer engagements from project initiation through successful delivery, acting as the primary point of contact between customers, local partners, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

This is a highly customer-facing role that combines project leadership, industrial engineering knowledge, and international stakeholder management. You'll work closely with engineering, data science, customer success, and plant operations teams to ensure successful deployment of advanced industrial optimization solutions while building strong, long-term customer relationships.

What You'll Do
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of industrial software implementation projects across the USA and Latin America.

  • Serve as the primary customer contact, coordinating communication between customer teams, local partners, and internal engineering resources.

  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Data Science, Customer Success, and external partners.

  • Manage multiple concurrent customer projects while ensuring delivery against scope, schedule, quality, and customer expectations.

  • Monitor project progress through regular status meetings, reporting, and stakeholder updates.

  • Identify, manage, and escalate project risks, blockers, and dependencies while driving timely resolution.

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including work plans, schedules, meeting minutes, risk logs, decisions, and action items.

  • Coordinate on-site activities at customer manufacturing plants to support implementation, project governance, and customer engagement.

  • Support the growth of regional project delivery capabilities by sharing best practices and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For
  • Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mining, Chemical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline.

  • 5+ years of experience managing industrial projects, preferably involving industrial software, automation, process control, or digital transformation solutions.

  • Experience delivering projects within manufacturing or process industries such as cement, chemicals, refining, mining, pulp & paper, or similar sectors.

  • Proven experience coordinating international, multidisciplinary, and remote technical teams.

  • Strong customer-facing project management experience with the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships.

  • Excellent planning, organization, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Experience preparing project plans, schedules, progress reports, and risk management documentation.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.

  • Professional English required.

  • Spanish is highly preferred for coordination with teams in Spain and customers across Latin America.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to industrial plants across the USA and Latin America, with occasional travel to Spain for coordination and training.

Nice to Have
  • Experience implementing industrial digitalization, automation, Advanced Process Control (APC), or industrial optimization solutions.

  • Experience working within B2B SaaS or industrial technology companies.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent project management certification.

  • Experience with Jira or similar project and portfolio management tools.

  • Previous experience managing industrial technology implementation projects involving local partners or subcontractors.

  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0, Industrial IoT, MES, SCADA, DCS, historian systems, or industrial analytics platforms.

Why Join?

Our client develops AI-powered industrial software that enables manufacturers to optimize production, improve operational efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and accelerate digital transformation through real-time process intelligence.

You'll join an international engineering organization delivering large-scale industrial technology projects across the Americas, working directly with global manufacturing companies and multidisciplinary technical teams. This is an opportunity to lead impactful digital transformation initiatives while helping build the company's growing project delivery presence across the region.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
