About the Team: 

The Terrestrial Software team is building the foundation for an automated rocket factory and integrated launch platform. Their mission is to automate and streamline workflows across the entire lifecycle of Terran R, from raw material intake to launch operations and eventually manufacturing on Mars. Today, that means partnering directly with teams across design, materials, manufacturing, and test and launch to design, implement, and deploy end user enterprise-wide applications, industrial automation, data analytics infrastructure, and next-generation AI to solve real problems and accelerate progress. Long term, the team is laying the groundwork for a modular, scalable software platform that can power highly autonomous operations on Earth and beyond. This is a team for builders and thinkers who thrive on cross-functional impact and want to shape the digital backbone of our future in space.

About the Role:

  • Project plans and milestone deliverables for Industrial Automation programs
  • Coordinate with hardware and operations teams to understand needs and dependencies
  • Review team and sprint metrics to highlight trends and growth opportunities
  • Manage software schedules and how they interact with overall program needs
  • Communicates successes, slips and challenges to our leadership team

About You: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related technical field and 3+ years of experience in software development
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex systems involving hardware and software interaction
  • Experience with project management tools like Smartsheet, MS Project, or comparable 
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite

Nice to haves but not required:

  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Experience working with software teams that are developing in C, C++, Python, or other similar languages 
  • Experience guiding resolution of blockers or helping to find workarounds to critical issues.
  • Experience building schedules * Prior work on a launch vehicle or spacecraft
  • Experience in a startup or agile environment

Hiring Range:
$119,000$153,000 USD
