About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Technical Project Manager to join our Hardware Compute team. You will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive visibility into the internal workings of three teams, streamlining processes, and ensuring efficient execution of projects. This TPM will be a hub for communication ensuring seamless visibility internally for priorities and externally for delivery status.  This requires managing the integration of data from various sources and optimizing project management workflows. This role requires a seasoned professional adept at navigating complex organizational structures, acting as the point person for all incoming and outgoing communications, and ensuring seamless coordination within and between the teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive plans for Hardware Compute projects, detailing timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Serve as the primary interface for all incoming requests, work with engineering managers to get overall projects executed with a focus on the end deliverables. 
  • Maintain and enhance data integration processes, ensuring accurate and cohesive reporting from multiple sources.
  • Implement and optimize project management workflows for the teams, ensuring clear visibility and efficient workflow management.
  • Act as the face of Hardware Compute to the rest of the organization, fostering collaboration and effective communication to align objectives, progress, challenges, and drive project success.
  • Collect and analyze project data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to enhance overall projects success.
  • Develop and implement scalable processes for project management within Hardware Compute.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to secure necessary resources and support for project objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, proactively communicating with stakeholders to drive resolution and minimize impact.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to provide visibility to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure project success and effectiveness.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in technical project management, preferably within data center management, IT infrastructure delivery, High Performance Computing operations, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex technical projects from initiation to completion
  • The agility to navigate and excel in a fast-evolving landscape, with the ability to adjust strategies in response to shifting priorities and demands
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (Jira, Smartsheet, GitHub, Notion, Confluence)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey multi-faceted plans and technical information in a clear and concise manner 
  • Familiar with the basic components of modern cloud infrastructure and bare metal server deployments.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,000-$190,000. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position also includes a discretionary bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Our Workplace

While we prioritize a hybrid work environment, remote work may be considered for candidates located more than 30 miles from an office, based on role requirements for specialized skill sets. New hires will be invited to attend onboarding at one of our hubs within their first month. Teams also gather quarterly to support collaboration
