Job Summary:

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) at Delinea, your role will focus on enhancing visibility, accountability, and successful product delivery by managing cross-team deliverables, coordinating dependencies, and proactively identifying and resolving impediments. Your initial focus will be leading our FedRAMP certification initiative—a strategic priority that will unlock opportunities with federal government customers. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead complex, multi-team software projects from inception through delivery, managing interdependencies across engineering teams and ensuring alignment on delivery timelines, milestones, and success metrics.

  • Partner with engineering leaders and architects to evaluate technical approaches, identify architectural risks, and ensure technical decisions support program objectives and long-term scalability.

  • Collaborate with product management and engineering leadership on quarterly roadmap planning, translating strategic initiatives into executable program plans with clear milestones and resource requirements.

  • Define and track program health metrics, delivery velocity, and quality indicators, using data to drive decisions and course corrections while maintaining comprehensive visibility through dashboards, burndown charts, and executive reports.

  • Proactively identify and resolve blockers, mitigate risks through early detection and data-driven problem-solving, and drive continuous process improvements that enhance team velocity and delivery predictability.

  • Interface between engineering, product, design, and executive teams, managing expectations and facilitating alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and delivery commitments.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • 5+ years as a Technical Program Manager or similar role managing complex, multi-team software programs.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand technical architecture and engage in substantive technical discussions with engineering teams.

  • Professional certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, SAFe).

  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and hands-on experience with agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), including facilitating agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and retrospectives.

  • Hands-on experience with agile program management tools (Azure DevOps preferred) including work item tracking, sprint management, and reporting.

  • Proven track record delivering enterprise software or SaaS products with measurable impact on delivery velocity and quality.

We’d Love to See:

  • Direct experience with FedRAMP authorization processes (ATO, continuous monitoring, annual assessments).

  • Experience with Cloud and SaaS-based product development in fast-paced, innovative environments, particularly with distributed teams and global stakeholders across multiple time zones.

  • Familiarity with identity and access management, authorization, or cybersecurity concepts.

Travel Expectations: 10 - 20%

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
