The summary above was generated by AI

At Sift, we’re redefining how modern machines are built, tested, and operated. Our platform gives engineers real-time observability over high-frequency telemetry—eliminating bottlenecks and enabling faster, more reliable development.

Sift was born from our work at SpaceX on Dragon, Falcon, Starlink, and Starship—where scaling telemetry, debugging flight systems, and ensuring mission reliability demanded new infrastructure. Founded by a team from SpaceX, Google, and Palantir, Sift is built for mission-critical systems where precision and scalability are non-negotiable.

About the Role

As a Technical Program Manager at Sift, you'll work at the intersection of technical implementation and customer success, ensuring our platform delivers maximum value to sophisticated engineering organizations. You will closely partner with our customers, uncover high-value problems, and direct the path towards adoption and transformational solutions.

In This Role, You’ll:
  • Own the outcome of complex implementations for enterprise customers.

  • Partner with Forward Deployed Engineers to design robust technical solutions that meet our customer needs.

  • Build deep trust across engineers, end‑users, and executives to clear roadblocks and accelerate progress.

  • Drive adoption across technical teams by demonstrating value and establishing implementation roadmaps

  • Work in tight collaboration with the product team to inform the future of the product.

  • Design and run pilots that demonstrate massive value and a vision for long-term success.

The Skillset You'll Bring
  • Strong technical background with ability to understand complex systems and data architectures

  • Experience driving adoption of technical products within engineering organizations

  • Excellence in stakeholder management across technical and business teams

  • Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple concurrent implementations

  • Clear communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to various audiences

Bonus Points:
  • Background in aerospace, autonomous systems, or other hardware domains is a plus

  • Understanding of data pipelines and streaming architectures

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, AWS/GCP)

  • Experience with Python or similar programming languages

  • Knowledge of telemetry systems and time-series data

  • Understanding of REST APIs and modern web technologies

Location
  • You must be willing and able to work from the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area and be onsite Monday through Thursday due to the nature and business needs of the role.

  • Ability to travel 50%+ required. Varies by location and customer needs.

Salary range: $125,000 - $175,000 per year. Plus equity and benefits.

Eligibility

U.S. Person Required: Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual such as an asylee or refugee in compliance with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) / EAR (Export Administration Regulations) regulations.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
