Role Overview

At G2i, we don’t just hire for AI — we build with it. We partner with leading AI labs and technical founders to create next-generation developer platforms, data tools, and operational dashboards that power the AI frontier.

As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you’ll be the execution engine that turns strategy into shipped product. You’ll drive cross-functional programs across engineering, product, design, and stakeholders—bringing clarity to ambiguity, accelerating delivery cadence, and ensuring high-quality outcomes across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery for complex technical programs across web platform, data tooling, and AI-enabled products.

  • Partner with Engineering and Product to define program scope, milestones, success metrics, and delivery plans.

  • Run program rituals (planning, standups, risk reviews, retros) and keep teams unblocked and aligned.

  • Track dependencies across teams, manage tradeoffs, and proactively surface risks with mitigation plans.

  • Create clear documentation: PRDs/tech briefs, RACI, roadmaps, release plans, and postmortems.

  • Drive launch readiness: QA plans, rollout strategy, observability requirements, and incident response coordination.

  • Improve systems of delivery: better estimation, throughput tracking, release hygiene, and cross-team communication.

Ideal Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience managing technical programs for software teams (platform, devtools, infrastructure, or product).

  • Strong technical fluency: APIs, web systems, CI/CD, cloud deployment, observability, and security basics.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives in fast-moving environments.

  • Excellent written communication—able to produce crisp plans, docs, and status updates.

  • Startup experience: comfortable with ambiguity, bias to action, pragmatic decision-making.

Compensation & Terms

  • 50 - 150USD/Hr, based on experience and location

  • Contract roles available (up to 6 months)

  • Remote-first, global team

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
