Build and lead Ironsite’s technical program management function, establishing planning cadences, roadmaps, tracking, and cross-team delivery processes. Own launches spanning hardware, software, ML, and field applications; coordinate customer deployments; and manage the nightly operational cadence supporting next-day reports. The role requires driving complex programs with external deadlines, improving reliability, aligning teams, and building scalable program management playbooks and hiring processes.

Ironsite is building the intelligence layer for the physical world. We design our own wearable hardware, deploy it alongside craft workers, and transform a shift's footage into a next-morning report. Our internal team and purpose-built models label the data overnight and deliver actionable insights to superintendents by 5 AM.
We are accelerating the speed, efficiency, and predictability of construction, especially for complex, mission-critical infrastructure projects, including data centers, LNG facilities, sports stadiums, hospitals, and other large-scale developments, by training AI models on egocentric construction footage and labor productivity data. We are built with a pro-worker philosophy at our core: we believe technology should empower the workforce, not replace it. We're working to give craft workers and project leaders better visibility into what's happening on-site, while creating a system where the reality of construction and the chaos of each day are finally available to the people running the project.
Ironsite is deployed across several of the largest active construction projects in the country. To date, we've captured more than 100,000 hours of construction footage across seven states, now process thousands of hours of site activity every day, and maintain a worker opt-out rate below two percent. This is enabled by a workforce-first architecture that anonymizes devices, captures no audio, and never releases raw video.
Ironsite is backed by leading investors (8VC, South Park Commons, Saga Ventures) and prominent operators across technology and construction, including Eric Schmidt, Jeff Dean, Jeff Rothschild, Mark Leslie, Scott Wu, Eric Glyman, Karim Atiyeh, Russell Kaplan, and others, alongside over a dozen construction industry operators who have joined us as partners in building this.
Longer term, we believe Ironsite is the foundation for what construction becomes in the next decade. The systems we're building will be the operating system for how the physical world gets built. We see a future where craft workers are more valued, more visible, and better paid for the skill they bring, and where the industry finally has the intelligence layer that makes autonomous construction possible. Both start with the same foundation.
We're hiring our first Technical Program Manager to build how Ironsite plans and ships, and to grow that into a program management team as we scale.
Today we have no formal planning process. Hardware, infrastructure, ML, research, platform, field apps, and customer deployments all move fast, and they all land on the same nightly critical path: footage captured in the afternoon becomes a report superintendents trust by 5 AM. Priorities get set in hallway conversations, dependencies surface late, and commitments to customers depend on heroics.
You'll change that. You'll set up the planning cadence, roadmaps, and tracking that every team runs on, own the programs that cross team lines, and make sure what we promise customers is what we deliver.
- Planning & Operating Cadence. Build the system Ironsite runs on: quarterly planning, team roadmaps, a single source of truth for priorities and status, and the weekly and monthly reviews that keep leadership and teams aligned. You'll decide how much process we need, introduce it, and make it stick.
- Cross-Team Launches. Own the programs that span hardware, platform, ML, and field apps, from new product surfaces to model and device rollouts. You'll define scope, owners, milestones, and risks, and drive them to done.
- Customer Deployments. Turn new jobsite launches into a repeatable playbook: hardware logistics, onboarding, integrations, and first-report readiness, coordinated across engineering, operations, and the customer's project team.
- Nightly Pipeline Operations. Run the operational cadence behind our 5 AM deliverable: incident follow-through, postmortems, and capacity reviews, so reliability improves as volume grows.
- Building process from zero without slowing us down. We move fast and want to keep moving fast. You'll introduce planning and tracking that create clarity, and cut anything that becomes overhead.
- Making customer commitments predictable. Our customers run billion-dollar jobsites on schedules. You'll make sure the dates we give them are dates we hit.
- Designing a function that scales. You'll start as a team of one. You'll build the playbooks, tools, and hiring bar for the program management team that follows.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of technical program management, engineering, or a hybrid of both, with at least 3 years running cross-team software programs.
- You've built planning or delivery process from scratch at a startup or new organization, and it stuck.
- A strong operator: you run tight meetings, write crisp plans, and follow through relentlessly.
- A track record of shipping complex programs with hard external deadlines, where you were accountable for the outcome, not just the tracker.
- Technical fluency to follow engineering tradeoffs and earn engineers' trust.
- Clear, concise written and verbal communication with engineers, executives, and customers alike.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience as a software engineer or ML engineer before moving into program management.
- Experience with ML lifecycle programs: data collection and labeling operations, training and evaluation pipelines, and model launches.
- Experience with programs that combine hardware and software, such as device fleets, firmware releases, or IoT deployments.
- Experience leading enterprise customer deployments or third-party integrations.
- San Francisco Bay Area (on-site)
- Base salary: $170k-$240k per year, commensurate with experience
- Meaningful founding-team equity.
- Full benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) with 6% match
- Daily catered lunch
- Office in San Francisco, next to Oracle Park and the Caltrain
Final compensation is determined by experience, location, and level.
