Why Socure?

Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.

We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won’t be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself — keep reading.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Technical Product Marketing Manager (tPMM) to join our team and help drive our product marketing strategy by deeply understanding Socure’s technology, crafting compelling narratives, and enabling both internal and external stakeholders with clear, technical messaging. If you have a passion for AI-driven fraud prevention and identity verification, and enjoy distilling complex technical concepts into digestible stories, we want to hear from you!

Location Requirements:

We are currently only able to hire candidates located in one of our location hubs: New York City, NY; Washington, DC; Seattle, WA; Miami, FL; San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities:

Deep Product Understanding:

  • Develop a comprehensive technical understanding of Socure’s products, platform, and integrations.

  • Analyze and document technical nuances, workflows, and architectures to articulate the "how" behind product functionality.

Technical Storytelling:

  • Translate complex technical details into compelling, easy-to-understand narratives that resonate with both technical and business audiences.

  • Craft messaging that highlights the unique power of Socure’s technology and the measurable impact on customers’ business outcomes.

Competitive Intelligence:

  • Conduct in-depth technical analysis of competitors’ products to identify strengths, weaknesses, and differentiation points.

  • Develop competitive positioning strategies that showcase Socure’s superiority in the identity verification and fraud prevention market.

Collaboration with Product Management:

  • Work closely with product managers to understand roadmaps, new features, and technical use cases to inform go-to-market strategies.

  • Provide technical feedback and ensure market needs are being addressed during product development.

Technical Enablement:

  • Create in-depth technical enablement materials for sales, customer success, and partners, including solution guides, architecture diagrams, and FAQs.

  • Lead technical workshops and trainings to ensure internal teams can articulate the product’s technical value effectively.

Thought Leadership:

  • Write and publish technical whitepapers, blogs, and case studies that demonstrate Socure’s innovation and leadership.

  • Represent Socure in technical discussions with customers, partners, and at industry events.

Leverage AI:

  • Scale quality and production of assets by leveraging AI tools like ChatGPT's Deep Research to enhance technical marketing materials.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical product marketing, product management, solutions engineering, or related roles in the identity verification, fraud, or risk industries.

  • Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand APIs, machine learning, and cloud-based architectures.

  • Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to distill technical complexity into clear, value-driven messaging.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, product management, and engineering teams.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience conducting competitive analysis and market research.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with experience producing technical content such as whitepapers, blog posts, and case studies.

  • Experience using AI tools for content generation, research, and technical enablement is a plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
